Interesting... I wonder if he is talking about more recent times...

Richie did disappear for a while so it's most likely true that he went through rehab once again... His more recent personality changes and attitude point directly to some type of substance abuse. I wonder if it's eating him up, seeing the band move forward without him...

He got a Slippery Necklace so maybe an official member of the team/camp and not necessarily the band...

If I were him it would totally eat me up. After being the guitarist of the band for 30 years and see them go on without me like nothing happened and to see that they had the numer 1 tour in 2013 would totally mess with my head.

We were discussing this a few days ago on the UAE official thread, maybe he was talking about the Live 2011 tour. Who knows.

Don't they give you the necklace when you do 2 world tours with them? Which he has done?

Yes but it's supposed to be two full world tours which he didn't do.

I guess Jon called Richie's bluff. Richie was sure the band wouldn't be able to pull through without him, but they did.
