I swear I’m not trying to be rude, but I really struggle to understand what goes through the minds of people when they behave like you on this board.

As I said before, as much as I love this board, this place is only a discussion board centered around a band. I know that some members have made great friends here, and I’m pretty sure this board is not the number one means of contact they have. So if this board ceases to exist tomorrow, life will go on for everyone here. Sure everyone will miss it, but that’s it. That’s why I don’t understand how can one believe that once they leave a discussion board, all the remaining members will grieve over it and the board will end, as if they were Harry Potter to JK Rowling.

I am a pilot for a major airline in Brazil and I have seen 60 years old captains apologize to their colegues for something they think they have done or acted wrong. IMHO, this is much more noble and ethic than dealing with the situation the way you and your friend chose to. You have to realize that you are coming across and incredibly juvenile.

We all can work together in order to male this board a healthy enviroment while it lasts. All it takes is a little bit of reasoning.

C'mon, RDK, let it go. Captain Jovi wasn't kissing anybody's ass. He was completely justified in this latest ban, whether anybody had complained or not, and you know it. You guys had stopped with the back and forth BS, and everything was cool. But then you started it up again. And it was more than just those two posts you quoted. I distinctly remember him warning you at the count of 6 posts, even before the "crush" comment; but you still kept going.

As nice as it might be to hear some of those "gems" you're trying to hold over his head, people got along just fine without them before, and will do so again, I'm sure. But don't kid yourself. If you withhold them, don't try to shift the blame to Captain Jovi. He isn't the one who's depriving others. That's a choice you are making.

If you want to act like a 5-y.o. and take your pretty marbles and go home, do it. But personally, I think you're better than that; so please don't make me and the others who defended you guys sorry that we did so with this kind of assholery just because you got your wrists slapped.

Well, golly gee whiz.... I can't say for sure; but from what I've seen over the last 5+ years, there are a lot of people on this board who have no problem, whatsoever, jumping to the worst possible conclusions about people without knowing all the facts. And much like other situations, I have yet to see any "facts" to support the idea that the mods would stoop to accepting bribes to keep them from banning someone.

I wonder if some people have considered the fact that "the kind of rhetoric they're spouting" didn't start until after some people shared their suspicions of bribery.

Just to make clear to everyone at no point was any mod bribed or messaged because of the unreleased material. It didn't have anything to do with it.
