God, a "good mod" give me a break.

I'm more than happy to delete the thread, but please be aware where you fly off the handle and use insults and curse at people....no one wants to deal with that. You would have had more luck if you calmed the hell down and stopped lashing out when you don't get what you want. That thread was the culmination of a lot of things but please stop acting like a confused puppy and you weren't warned about the way you act on this board. You know it, I know it and everyone who didn't say "this wasn't deserved" knows it.

RDK, I know you don't like long posts, but I hope you'll take the time to read this one; because, believe it or not, I can see your side in this. :)

First off, I can't disagree with a lot that you said. I understand why you're angry and I can't say I blame you. I still take exception to the implication that the mods don't do a good job because I believe they try their best not to interfere with the threads unless people get abusive; and they took almost as much heat over this as you guys did. But I can also see why you feel the way you do atm, because several people pushed or, imo, even crossed that line.

In all fairness, while you make some good points, you and Yovana had a part to play in why that other thread became so objectionable. IF it had been just that one thread that your OT posts disrupted, your case would be much stronger. But, tbh, any thread that's active is in danger, at any given point, of being taken over by the "RD and YO Show" (to put a spin on your alt title for that other thread); so people had a valid reason for complaining. But I honestly think if you and Yovana cut that out, as you had started to do, people will go back to recognizing the good stuff you both bring to the board. And you DO bring good stuff. I don't care what any of your "critics" say about that. They're dead wrong.

As I said, I agree that you have every right to be pissed. Nobody wants to read post after post about how [insert negative adjective] he and the person he's posting with are. Hell, I was pissed off on your behalf. I just personally think that your anger may have been misdirected.

If you think it will help, I can add my voice to yours, requesting that the thread in question be moved to the non-band section; because I agree that it got out of hand and that the non-band section is a better place for it. Personally, I wouldn't want to see it deleted; because besides the valid points you and others made about why the board isn't as active, I thought it was quite impressive the way a lot people demonstrated a sense of community by defending you and Yovana, and pointing out some of the good ways you guys help keep the board alive. (Things that have nothing to do with rarities, thank God.) :)

This is a good summary. RD, you bring a lot of value to the board. We just ask that you and Yov respect people's wishes that they don't want your back and forth.

The way he plays that acoustic just conforms to me that he is such an average guitar player and has no place in the band!

Um, I haven't watched it yet, but that was posted in May 2010 so I don't think he's talking about August 2019. :)

I don't know why I defend the guy but if he just played like he actually played he wouldn't be that bad of a fit for the band. Just like everything else about the band it's been dumbed right down to fit into a box.

That clip is still very "meh" to me. I still hear him trying to sound like The Edge in places, his solo-ing is better but somewhat disjointed. His acoustic playing in the first video was awkward. I liked some of his solos on Burning Bridges, but he just screams Average and Generic as a player to me (I'm well aware that that is probably just a personal preferance). The fact that he should ever get to record a solo on an album over Phil is just something that I can't get my head around. Don't get me wrong, Phil's style isn't 100% suited to the band either, but he's 1000% a better player that Shanks...(for me)

"Some people" may have hurt your feelings, or made you mad because they didn't play the game the way you wanted it played; but any responsibility they may have had begins and ends right there. And, as I told RDK, the two of you have to share a good chunk of the responsibility even for that; because you chose to disregard numerous requests and complaints from other members, as well as multiple warnings from the mods.

All that aside, you're the one who has the rarities, not them. So, at this point, you get to choose. If you want to withhold them as punishment, you certainly have every right to do so. But the key phrase there is "if you want to".

Your rarities, your call. So don't try to pin the blame on "some people" for your choices - because that dog don't hunt.

Jon was the performer at the Everglades Foundation fundraiser. I think the likelihood is very slim, but my God, I sure as hell hope the bigger name isn't Jon.

I love how important it is to point out how he's friends with Donald Trump... I'm sure the media will say this is Trumps fault. Just for the record, all of Hollywood was friends with Trump before he was President including Hillary Clinton.

It's amazing how this all comes full circle. Kraft is friends with Trump. Jon hates Trump. Jon wants to be Kraft.

This is a Robert Kraft problem, why they have to mention Donald Trump or Jon Bon Jovi??

Headlines, sensationalism, and guilt by association. Anything to get more clicks. They have sports, entertainment, politics, and business all in one fell swoop. Chances are if people aren't interested in all four areas, they're probably interested in at least one of them.

The headlines made it seem much more worse than what it was (because that's what they do).

According to reports, they have Kraft on videotape performing sexual acts. I don't know much about it except for what I read online today; but according to one attorney the common defense for soliciting or prostitution is "mutual consent." I'm not sure how that figures in, if the prostitute is in business willingly, since to me that would imply mutual consent. Seems like that would undermine any prostitution law.

I think it's pretty obvious that the most serious part of this, both legally and morally, would be the human trafficking or sexual servitude angle. There have already been reports about the dire living conditions of some of the women involved; and I would think that could get real ugly, real fast. Especially if they can prove that the men who are charged were aware of that.

I was talking about my post before (DT and JBJ), not about Robert Kraft problem.
Donald Trump has already spoke about it and Jon Bon Jovi is not on the list of the 25 men involved in that situation.

The Obie thing was far more serious than this and that had no effect on Jon’s reputation at all.

Then I guess I didn't understand why you said they should have proof. As far as I know, no one has tried to implicate Trump or JBJ in the investigation itself. Trump only addressed it because he was asked in a routine press briefing what he thought about the Kraft situation; and there's no reason to think Jon's name might be on the list of 25 (which is apparently only a partial list, btw).

The reports I've read just say that Kraft's wealth and the Patriots make it possible for him to hang around with celebrities and politicos; and they mentioned JBJ and Trump (among others) as examples. Probably because those friendships are common knowledge; and including their names just helps grab attention from different circles.

If you weren't referring to the allegations against Kraft, what are you saying they should have proof of? Not debating, just curious. :)
