Yeah, but a tour is a tour no matter if they play in stadiums or arenas. So if the interviewer didn´t mix something up in the translation, that tour starts in September 2017.
For all we know at the moment that doens´t make a lot of sense but who knows what Jon has on his mind.

It is strange that they tourning in September in Germany. Usually do in early summer. Something is changing. Perhaps new countries are included... and displace Germany later.

I understood Tico completly different. For me it means that they start touring in September 2017, not that they will play in Germany at that time.

They'll be looking for countries that they haven't (or rarely) visited in the past since they can still churn out more money there.
That being said - they had toured Germany in late August / early September on the Crush tour.

I had a friend of mine in Germany - translate for me. Basically the same as we are reading here but a point she made - he was interviewed and the questions/answers were translated from the start (unless he speaks German). Then the print is out in German and those of us who want to read the article now translate it to English or a language we understand. Now we have a double whammy for errors in interpretation.

IMO, he may have been referring to when they will be in Germany, not just start to tour. Could also be just an error with the year. With the album set to release this fall, I can't imagine waiting that long to tour it. The momentum would be lost and just not good business. No matter what - Jon does seem to have a decent business head.

I guess we just need to wait for Matt to tweet and give us all the facts. :-)

This is what I was thinking, too. Plus, iirc, Tico was quoted as saying "next September" so you can add in the different ways "next" can be interpreted. Today is Sunday and if I say "next Thursday" to two ppl, one might interpret it as this coming Thursday while the other might think I meant the Thursday of next week. So Tico could have been referring to September 2016 or 2017.

Either way, unless something's changed, isn't the last word we got directly from Jon's lips "February-ish"? Or did I miss something?

I think this is an awful lot of speculation over what was probably either a misspoken date by Tico or a mistranslated date by the source.

Maybe Richie and Ori can be support act for the BJ tour 😜
