You can clearly tell that he was actually sober and enjoying himself on stage, I just love the moment at 9:18 when he wants to close the song but the fans keep on singing Wooow and he looks so happy and surprised.

In 2014 he looked like a fat sloppy drunk mess who was clearly suffering from emotional pain and tried to act happy and cool...

I would really love to see Richie do his own thing without Orianthi and just perform and really enjoy himself instead of being drunk and acting like an old hippie rock star.

I was thinking that Doc called them - trying to get them some exposure. They have not had large audiences for just their shows to this point. He does know Paul Rodgers and has done Bad Company covers so maybe out of respect for him, he'll keep it together but 2014 with the duet was poor at best.
