I compare both versions of We Dont Run. the BB version is better for me, his voice sounds more natural, and instruments less polished and more sharp.

Works for Jon's voice, too. But I don't see shorter weeks allowing him to produce on the side? Isn't Shanks a guy that gets thing done quickly? Wouldn't really work with him being out of the studio 50% of the time.

So is WDR different from WDR of B. bridges ? I heard the snippet but I can not find any difference

It's sounds more digital but I'm not sure if it's just because of the quality of Snippet...

I'm still trying to figure out why Phil played the solo in WDR...

Maybe Jon's paying him enough he's not even bothered about producing right now.

Because he played it last year and has been playing it ever since.

That's the simple answer but it's not like he's been doing it for 20 years... The songs only been out for a year and it was a month long tour of maybe 10 shows . Shanks wrote it and could play it like the album...

My theory is that maybe Phil did his own version of the new mix...

At least the beginning of the solo, which is included in the snippet, Sounds exactly the same as in the BB Version. And so far, We don't have any Information on phil being in the Studio for WDR.

So I would Say it is just because they have been doing it like this and they're doing well, so why change it?

PS: Sometimes things are simple and we're just spending too much thought on them ;)
