Luckily there are the fantastic albums (Bon Jovi to These Days) that can never be taken away.

Agreed. I had been listening to THINFS quite a few times, telling myself that it's a decent song. Then, last night on my way home, My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms came on and it was like something from a different world.

Interesting that Jon is credited for Vocals on Knockout, but not on This House Is Not For Sale. :D

I made the mistake of doing that last week. Same songs... It reminded me why I'm a fan and what they were capable of.
They are a different band now, no doubt. That's fine but all else aside (current state of vocals, the disappearance of Richie, album production), the lyrics are just so surface level uninspired. I haven't been moved by their lyrics in a long time.

Now Jon says if we like TD and HAND, we'll like the new album. I'm just hoping for something a little more genuine and thought provoking than what we've heard so far. And dammit if Jon sings "Live your life", "this is your life" or "it's my life" one more time...

Way too many people too consumed with why things aren't as good as HAND, TD, etc. Lets just be grateful this band is still here and we still get to listen.....so forget the John's voice is shit, Shanks overproduces everything BS. We're pretty damn lucky overall and these 2 singles are awesome and better than 95% of the other shit on radio these days. Looking forward to the album from my favourite band! Peace out!!
