Not necessarily. That was the musicians list on the Bo Bice Version of the song. I've played them back to back and at the same time, it's a different version of the song. I really think the drums, guitar and bass were re-recorded for Bo's album. The drums sound way different.

Yeah, it's a different take. Bon Jovi version is little bit longer and sadly available only in much lower quality. But for me it's recorded by the same team. I haven't notice much differences... only a few nuances. If Bon Jovi version was recorded by Richie, Tico, Dave and Hugh, then they sounds exactly like Shanks team... which will be a little dissapointment.

Hmmm to me it's a completely different drummer/intensity on the snare. I'll see if I can whip something up to compare the two.

Listening back it's absolutely Shanks on the keyboards on both, and I assume acoustic guitar. The drums are where I'm iffy.

I'm more suprised to see Tico singing background vocals on a studio recording. That hasn't happen since like SWW or NJ except for Burning Bridges, the track?

Pretty much. There's very little documented proof that he was involved in gang vocals in the past so it's great he's there now.

I do not believe him. In a promotional interview they lie. I do not think that Tico play on all the songs.

So because it doesn't fit your negative vision, you declare Tico a liar. I'm sure he knows more about his work than you do.

Also there's a GIANT interview from the engineer, and Shanks, of the WAN album talking about how there's lots of drum synths added to beef it up but it IS Tico playing.

Can you share a link of the interview, if it is available somewhere in the internet?

I believe he is referring to this one:

That's the one. Same deal as It's my Life. They recorded drums, made loops out of the drum beats and then live drums over it. While it creates a larger than life sound unfortunately it creates an unnatural effect. Point is it IS Tico.

Alphavictim 09-11-2016 08:27 PM

Tico IS lying. I really doubt he played on It's Hard Letting You Go.
