Don’t start the scary background music yet, ladies. There's no cause for alarm, I assure you. No cyber stalking, no tracking of posts, and no personal grudges. I just have a decent memory when it comes to things that people say, especially some of the more outlandish or colorful comments, like “He’s so full of shit I can smell him from here”. And as Kathleen pointed out, there is a search function so it was hardly any trouble at all to find the post. Wham, bam, done! As I’ve said before, I can’t hold on to a grudge with super-glue. But there are a few things that really get under my skin. One of them is double standards. IMO, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. So if it’s okay for one person to say he or she thinks someone is lying, I don't see why it should pose a problem for them when someone else says the same thing. Another thing that bothers me is the unfair way a few of the people here consistently jump all over Rolo for simply expressing opinions that they don’t happen to agree with when, in most cases, he’s saying nothing more than what other people have said with no repercussions whatsoever. This post just happened to hit both of those triggers, so it was well worth the few minutes it took to do a search. That’s all. I’m sorry it couldn’t be more exciting than that, but it is what it is. |

I recall a lot of comments ppl make - those I strongly disagree with as well as those that resonate for some reason. "Mentally cataloging" is an excellent description of the process. I know a lot of folks here do that because I've been challenged for some of my comments, too - sometimes long after I made them. Much ado about nothing, really; but thanks, anyway. |

Motley with Corabi was amazing but if you exclude that album Crue hadn't released anything worth listening to since Feelgood in 89. Sixx speaks a lot of shit but this time he is correct! |
Sometimes I wonder why, if Jon insists on playing his acoustic on almost every new song live why does he have shanks record every guitar part on the songs??

Im so over Jons black acoustic guitar .... Everytime he grabs it live now i know we are in for a boring 5 minutes .....

To be fair, this board can at times come across as anti Bon Jovi if you are a new poster.
I had a similar issue years ago when I first joined. I felt a lot of people were overly negative. The problem for me then, and some newer posters now, is in not realising (or bothering to find out) that a lot of the "negative" posts were preceded by positive ones. Stuff like "you only complain about the band, why bother" etc is not a fair reflection on what someone has posted over the years of following a band. People have different views on what's good or bad. If something is considered great by one and shite by many, that one person isn't wrong. Nor are they right. It's just what works for you personally. I have certainly become more critical of the band (especially JBJ & Richie) over the years. Anyway, back on topic. I was hoping there would have been at least one 6 min plus song. :( |

I wonder if the Japanese edition dvd, we see the band recording in the avatar studios? or another dvd recycling of live performances and some promos of the new album? |

Anyone who "mentally catalogs" something for #two years# to hold it against someone later is at the very least holding a grudge. And it is very unsettling to me because it's not the first time you've quoted me years after the fact.
Not everyone is going to see things your way. If you're hanging onto posts for two years it appears you have too much rage in your heart over something that is essentially insignificant. |

Btw, we are heavily derailing the thread. Nothing really happens album-wise, though. |

I live in Greece and have just tried to preorder, well...
The cd costs 17€, but if you add the taxes and the shipping, the final result is 67€ :P Funk this shit. Does anybody know where I could find it in a more realistic price? |

Do you know anyone who lives in the U.S.? Have them buy it for you here and then ship it to you in the smallest package they can fit an unopened CD in. Obviously it would still cost more yet that would help the overall price. That's if you are looking to own this exclusive release. The Japanese version has to be even more pricy if you ordered it from Greece. |
Anybody have the track length of Touch of grey??
I had some expectations to Color me in, but its nowhere to be seen on any tracklist including bonus tracks.. |

Real Love 4:34 All Hail the King 4:54 I Will Drive You Home 4:42 Goodnight New York 3:53 EDIT: But if you add up all the other 17 tracks, you get 70:28 min (excluding spacing between the tracks, which is usually 1-2 sec), so, while technically possible, I highly doubt it will be more than 4 or 5 min long. |
BTW, for my fellow folks from Germany: I've just seen that the 18-track CD is a Saturn/Media Markt exclusive and can be pre-ordered for 19,99€.

My Japanese version has cost me £29.09 and I get DVD! |
Where in Europe (I'm from poland) I can buy vinyl in realistic price. I tried from bj.con but cd cost 23$ and shipping is 26$ :O wtf?
I think that "Color Me In" could be great song about depression or about Stephanie and her life after accidend with pills. |

Good grief. You've been around here and a contributing/trustworthy member long enough that I'll see about what it would cost to mail a CD to Brazil for you. Send me your address via PM and I'll get a CD weighed at the post office and let you know. That's utterly ridiculous. |
Guess who's got 2 thumbs is really really ridiculously good looking and pre-ordered the target edition of the cd?? THIS GUY!!! :D ....
Yeah I know it's early but I was just afraid I was gonna forget with work and stuff, and things that happen.... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |

I urge everyone to give it another chance. Right now. |
talked about hating Bon Jovi..
first of all let me introduce myself, i come from Indonesia and the first song that made me fall in love with them was KTF years ago and i've been fans since then. And TBH i've been reading this forum since i was in college to see some of new photos, songs lyrcis and stuff but i am triggered to read the discussion session. Well although some of harsh critics about BJ albums sounds and stuff that sometime i read, i get the sense that you guys are not some idiots who keep on throwing stuff without backing it up with some solid argument. I actually make your opinion for me as an additional source of discussion with some of my BJ fans in my country, and lots of friends of mine are reading your thoughts and stuff about BJ and that's cool.. Such as when i knew BJ release THINFS and Knockout i came by here just to see how are you guys react to that album although i have my own personal opinions about them but i think this discussion is great to be honest. Not because i am a die hard fans i love all of their works, such as Bell of freedom which i usually skip everytime i heard them on my cd.. And also i hate Because We Can, i twitted to Sambora when they released their single "Sambora, you sounds like Hanson damnit " and yes i was hoping for the next album is none like BWC or WAN...hate them..AND GLAD I AM NOT ALONE HERE haha But still, i have high expectation for this new album and it's growing on me kinda like the new stuff so..it's great to be here and talk about lots of thing about BJ...thanks guys :D Quote:

On the taxes and shipping discussion...
Of course I (we) could buy the cd when it's released from our local stores in normal prices but I have the feeling that we will get the standard edition with no bonus tracks... |

Still think the hard rock audience was the route to go down with this album.
When was the last time there was a genuine, memorable rock riff in a BJ song? |

"I'd fly all the way to the moon, just to walk down your street" "The sweat on this old collar, well that's my PhD" Vomit inducing. Admittedly, the first line becomes marginally less cringy when you take into account the fact that the song was written for Armageddon. However, on Crush, it loses that context and either way, it's so heavy handed and unsubtle, it's garbage whatever the context. Worst song on Crush by a distance. Give me Just Older, TST even She's a Mystery over it anyday. |
