Almost identical to mine... Move New Year's Day down to 4 and shift the other 3 up... along with a few other minor shifts... (New Year's Day continues to grow on me, it's just tough for me to judge this one based on the Count Basie boot)

Interesting - after hearing your edit of Living With the Ghost yesterday I fell in love with that song. :D

Just got this from BJ's facebook account:

Quote:

Teamed up with TIDAL to release a new music video every Thursday until December 15! This week, watch our new video for Knockout.

Thomas S 10-13-2016 12:59 AM

10 more music videos including Knockout?!?!?

Well if you want to think of it as negatively as possible, sure, but really 15 songs, 14 brand new, liking 9 out of 14 is pretty darn good. It's not possible to be 50% until they're heard.

That's why I said it was a potential 50%. For me, released songs, whether demo or not, count, as they are often better than what's on the standard release. Btw I also like 9 so far and am really stoked. That's 3/4 of an album, if an album has 12 songs on it ;)

No way to know for sure but the way it's phrased certainly makes it sound like they'll all be Jovi videos. The post on their facebook also mentions that the videos will be exclusively on Tidal.

Thomas S 10-13-2016 01:36 AM

Update on the music videos according to Tidal's facebook page:

Quote:

TIDAL has teamed up with Bon Jovi to release a new music video from their upcoming album #THINFS, every Thursday until December 15! Tomorrow, watch their new video for "Knockout" - only on TIDAL.com/BonJovi #TIDALXBONJOVI
So it looks like all of the videos WILL be from the new album and unless I messed up my math, there will be 11 music videos in total.

liljovi93 10-13-2016 01:54 AM

Bon Jovi have now changed the post. Just says they have teamed up and Knockout is first video.

I've only actually heard the entire album from the performances just tonight. With the Basie show, I never really made it past "Devil's.." So I'm only just now hearing what the fuss is over the last half of the album. I'm not up for ranking each track in order at this stage, I'm just thrilled at how consistently good this album is.

Still... each time I have listened, New Year's Day stood out the most, so it's looking like mine, as well. From the get-go that chorus...., "And I'm singing hallelujah.. Amen the angels say..." I can't stop craving hearing it again.

That's my recording, you clearly didn't read my wishes about not spreading this as MP3. This is the day that I stop sharing recordings on boards and just trade them with friends that I can trust.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

For what it's worth based on the live versions and released to date (not including WDR):

1 The Devil's In The Temple
2 This House Is Not For Sale
3 Born Again Tomorrow
4 Rollercoaster
5 Labor Of Love
6 Living With The Ghost
7 Knockout
8 New Years Day
9 All Hail The King
10 Scars On This Guitar
11 Come On Up To Our House
12 God Bless This Mess
13 Reunion
14 Real Love

Intrigued to hear how Temple sounds on record- it has the potential to be one of the bands best tracks for some time.

THINFS has grown on me immensely since it was released, and it's a different beast live. It's totally got into my head. Jon not singing bits of it was fine at the Palladium where they had the mix right, unlike Ellen which was like night and day.

I really hope the record company give the album a massive push to get it to No.1 over here. It's getting great reviews from the media, we just need them all to follow up and promote it. With 4 singles out they can fit on different radio stations.

For instance:

Absolute: THINFS (Started playing now), Born Again Tomorrow, Knockout
Heart: Labor Of Love, Born Again Tomorrow, THINFS
Magic: Labor Of Love, THINFS
Radio 2: Seem to only play THINFS once, get it back in rotation.
Capital: Born Again Tomorrow would work.

It seems nuts to think they could get played on Capital (or Radio 1) but BAT is fresh enough to be able to pull it off. Get them on the Nov 5 episode of Strictly- performing Labor Of Love as the dancers won't be able to dance to the others - and do the chat shows like Jonathan Ross/Graham Norton or whatever is on that week. Music videos onto the music channels where possible, not just the odd play on VH1. They have the material to back it up, unlike with WAN, they just need to get it out there to as wide an audience as possible.

It seems like we are on the cusp of it being huge like with IML where they were everywhere, and it was on the radio/TV all the time. I just hope it gets what it deserves and becomes massive- hangs around until Christmas and not becomes a one week wonder.

steel_horse75 10-13-2016 12:43 PM

Living with the ghost is gonna be my favourite along with Devils in the temple.

Scars isnt as good (for me) as I hope it would be - i wanted it to be fast.

Savvi 10-13-2016 12:51 PM

I have to agree. Scars on this Guitar is probably my least favourite based on the recordings from the two shows.

Well yeah, but I didn't say I didn't like thinfs, it's just that I like these 9 better.

And WDR is my absolute favorite, but its from BB album, so I'm not counting it.

And I still haven't heard 15.-17. which is 3 songs. ;)

Anyone else getting a slight "I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas" vibe during the end of the first verse of "Come On Up To Our House"?

Yes. I would even say that the new video for the song will be released in Christmas season.

jon-flp 10-13-2016 03:57 PM

Hey, the Knockout video is already out?

I cannot do the register on Tidal...seems like you have to have an international card, which I don't have.

VinceBJ 10-13-2016 04:07 PM

Video is out at 12PM ET, that's just under 3 hours from now

Does anyone think "All Hail the King" should of been on the main THINFS Album, not the extras?

I think THINFS Is a great Live Album, hardly no bad songs, I like "Reunion" ,"Come up to our House", "Real Love", but prefer "Come up to our House" over "Reunion", that could maybe been on the extras instead of "All Hail the King"

Knockout, I dislike! of all the songs on THINFS Album, best songs for me: ( no necessary order)

New Year's Day
Living with the Ghost
Labour of Love
Rollercoaster
Born Again Tomorrow
The Devil's in the Temple
Scars on this Guitar
All Hail the King
Come up to our House
This House is Not for Sale
God Bless this mess

Just say the whole Album! Renewed my love of Bon Jovi after WAN.

Hope John Shanks doesn't ruin the Album compared to the Live version. Even if he did, for me the best Bon Jovi Album overall since These Days, yes it will never compare to it, but the effort, passion and lyrics is excellent.

I am Just worried if Jon will have any vocals left to do more albums, after THINFS Tour, as this is kind of album for me, with HAND, TC and maybe Burning Bridges that Jon should release until the band call it a day. I guess we all would all like a great vocal album like the past, but that's just that the past. I am Hopefull for the future of Bon Jovi.

Glad to hear im not the only one thinking LWTG is probably the best track in the album

DITT just rocks!

The Knockout video is out Tidal in Bangkok, just watched it. I don't really understand the storyline but Jon's got some nice moves.

symbeline 10-14-2016 01:17 AM

They took the video down. Any word on when it's going to be on YT officially?

Edit: I found it, and didn't understand what it is about. Jon has some sweet moves and it reminded me a lot of the GH promo (I was kidding about the dancing, it's a good thing he only sings)
