In a nutshell Bon Jovi are roughly 15th in the all time selling artists.
They are roughly the 4th biggest selling Rock artist.
see list below (insert Jovi above Metallica as this list is without Jovi to show who they compare to - Jovi have 142.2 sales)

1 Led Zeppelin – 195,656,000
2 U2 – 192,491,000
3 Fleetwood Mac – 143,239,000
4 Metallica – 137,628,000
5 Guns N Roses – 115,171,000
6 Nirvana – 87,573,000
7 Coldplay – 83,237,000
8 Linkin Park – 74,119,000

This is the list of who they are in and around - good company.

AC/DC
The Beatles
The Bee Gees – well, if you put them among “rock” bands
The Eagles
Pink Floyd
Queen
The Rolling Stones

further research to be done on.

Aerosmith
The Beach Boys
Dire Straits
Santana

Interesting how JBJs solo albums go towards the total sales but Richies dont.

So with streaming included (and made relevant to album sales) BJ have sold the equivalent of 142.2m albums.
Roughly 132m are hard copies. The rest is streaming plays converted to album sales. You have to have a certain amount of streams on an album for it to be classed as 1 sale.

The below list are the real "greatest hits" as these are their individual sales.

1 1986 Livin’ on a Prayer [Slippery When Wet] – 23,110,000

3 2000 It’s My Life [Crush] – 10,770,000
4 1986 Wanted Dead or Alive [Slippery When Wet] – 8,720,000

I think you can't say that. Numbers for HAND, WSYCGHome or Thank You can't be compared with numbers where band has their top form and where music industry has much more numbers in selling.

If you look only for streaming: We werent born, HAND have better numbers than Keep The Faith or In These Arms for example.

Thats cos KTF is 24 years old - people wont stream it as they own it.

Streaming show us how many people listening music now. Old hits like livin or bad name are older than KTF but they have mmoe listenings than Hand , Who Says ecc.
So you can't say that people listen music from ktf album only from cd. I think that streaming or youtube are show us better which songs are popular than amount of copy of singles/cd.
It's beacuse when they relased ktf sales of this cd was only ok at that time and they got only number 5 if i remember correctyly. THINFSale today has nr1 and beat other massive artist like for example A.Keys

So i think that we should looking on streaming for songs to see which songs are really popular. Of course we should only take views from some period time after promoting it because it's normal that new single will have more views than old in time when band promote them.

I think that we can't compare In These Arms by numbers of singles sold. We can look on streaming and comparing these 2 songs would be fair because they were relased before spootify ecc so they numbers of streaming aren' pushed by promotion, shows ecc.

Of course any method for comparing songs from 2 different music decade will be fair.

A great read although doesn't tell us anything we don't really know- Slippery and the big 3 along with IML are huge, NJ is a close 2nd and everything else pretty much pales in comparison.

The sad point I took is how poor These Days does in terms of numbers.

I cant believe that These Days did so bad considering the greatest hits proceeded it and sold 22.8 million copies. Thats a lot of Always fans.
