http://www.livenation.com/artists/41419/bon-jovi My 1st post in a long time. There are more dates in the above link, but here is another list. Hopefully they will add more soon!

Walleris 10-05-2016 09:31 PM

Well, the dates are as close one to the other as always. Jon's vocal chords are up for a treat

steel_horse75 10-05-2016 09:58 PM

U.K. In the summer hopefully

Becky 10-06-2016 02:16 AM

Birmingham!!!!! I got a text from my concert buddy today during a meeting and nearly lost my cool! They haven't been there since 1989 I believe. Plus Nashville and Memphis.

danfan 10-06-2016 02:55 AM

Wow. Hell of a tour. 20 shows, 2 months, and no shows in the northeast or other major cities. Why would you only release 2 months worth of dates? If that's really all the shows they're doing, I wouldn't even call it a tour.

bjcrazycpa 10-06-2016 03:05 AM

No way they are only doing 20 dates. This will be ONE leg. They've done this sort of thing before especially at the beginning of a tour with releasing dates in dribs and drabs.

Becky 10-06-2016 03:31 AM

You know more dates are coming. If they are playing Birmingham they are probably doing just as many or more dates than usual.

24Roses 10-06-2016 04:58 AM

With the last announced date being in Indy on March 22, I anticipate more Midwest dates to be announced for the end of March & April. I checked the arenas for the 2 locations closest to me (Des Moines and St. Paul); they both have a lot of time open in mid April. Maybe it's just me, but I think a lot more dates will be announced for April and May.

Captain_jovi 10-06-2016 05:41 AM

No Toronto date. They probably can't announce that yet due to the promo show in a few weeks.

Bleeding Purist 10-06-2016 09:09 AM

$552.75 for Los Angeles official top ticket price......how nice.

I honestly have no idea how I'm going to go about this. I'm not paying even half that for a ticket here in California. Do I wait for dates to go on sale back East where I'll enjoy seeing them more than if I see them here? Maybe try the Northwest in Portland or Seattle as those are not announced yet, either?

At this stage, I'm afraid that the promo shows that are occurring right now are something that gets me excited versus another regular tour show. It doesn't help that the last show I saw, which was the first BWC Tour stop in Los Angeles, had me restless before it was over and I outright skipped the return stops in October (where they played Thick As Thieves, of course.)

I was hoping that Jon make a smart tour, but I see that it is not, and this tour will be overloaded just like the Because We Can Tour. After this tour, the little voice that remains will be gone for good.. I guess he try to strive to be the number 1 in the tournings billboards, instead of offering good shows. :(

Kieets 10-06-2016 10:48 AM

According to Rolling Stone, apparently you get the THINFS album with every ticket sold?
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...e-tour-w443552

How cool is this? Then everybody will know the songs, plus seems like a sly way of getting more album sales ;-).

In any case I'm loving the whole marketing strategy they've come up with this time.

nikos greece 10-06-2016 12:02 PM

I guess it will be another 100 date tour as long as the demand is there.
the prices seem high, I hope the line up stays intact, especially john shanks and everet, the percussionist.
I want to believe jons voice will improve after some shows, when he llfeel the crowd is there for him and the band is tight he will have the confidence he needs.
I couldn't watch the band after Richie but now i think this line up suits them, Richie will always be missed but at least now there are some capable guitarists to do the songs justice live

Jayster 10-06-2016 12:38 PM

Why are you hoping for John Shanks to be in the band?

Why not?

He's been their producer for over 10 years (incl. 6 albums) and since Richie departed has also co-wrote and/or played guitar on most of the new songs.

He's the second most influential person in the band after Jon, so if his schedule allows he should absolutely play 'his' songs live over Matt or another hired guy.

I'm sure the top ticket price is for a package of some sort.

Becky 10-06-2016 02:33 PM

The price range in Birmingham is $35 to $550. I'm sure that top price is a package which won't be getting. I figure on spending about $150 a ticket, comparable to other tours for decent seating. It's going to hurt my purse but help my heart.

I don't disagree, but you've just summed up what's wrong with the Bon Jovi situation right now.

Shanks has been producing albums for too long
He co-writes many of the songs
Second most influential person
Plays guitar on many of the songs
Richie departed
Hired guns

You are are correct, but none of those things will change if Shanks is not on tour. It just means more "hired guns" vs. guys who actually make the music (which Shanks is, for better or worse). Plus, it's not like he's butchering solos like Bobby.

Totally agree and share your sentiment.

That is what I figured, but going by memory...usually such packages are not listed as part of the normal range of prices for just a seat alone, which leads me to believe that those prices are for the first several rows on the floor.

Should I even bother joining Backstage again for the pre-sale?

On the other hand, Jon replaced Richie by Shanks 10+ years ago so it would make sense to have him onstage on lead or rhythm guitar just like Richie when he was the main co-songwriter and co-producer along with Jon. Pure logic.

They did show the top price last tour which ended up being the ticketmaster packages. But, to that point, you are correct, that means the first several rows will have a seat and be packaged with other stuff...just a hunch based on the promoter being Live Nation. I have joined the fanclub to see if, like last time (though very scarce), there are some non package seats that will be good.

nice, good news, he adds sonically for sure, it would be interesting if he used electronic drum pads as well to reproduce the electro vibe of the album live

PanosBonJovi 10-07-2016 03:03 PM

So starting from 35$ dollars, ticket range and prices should be about 100-150 dollars for Diamond/Golden circle, which make them affordable in Europe too.

I can swear I saw him doing that in the videos from the Basie show.

I think I read somewhere that Jon said on the Q&A that he'll wait to see how the album will perform on charts before booking further dates and probably that includes Europe, Asia/Oceania, Africa & Latin America.

So is it likely that the band would visit countries where the album managed to chart after a certain position? For example number 2 and above?

Of course not, he is trying to tease the fans. Pretty sure the dates will be shared even after tonight or the upcoming month.

jovifan85 10-10-2016 05:39 PM

I wouldn't mind if Jon played the majority of THINFS Album, On Tour but of course he will have to include some hits now and again.

the fact they named the most expensive package knockout shows some humour in a way..

ticos_stick 10-11-2016 12:53 AM

Haha, and people were saying it's only the Runaway tours that price out working class fans.

Pathetic.

bonssong 10-11-2016 01:30 AM

Bruce Springsteen tickets in Australia the dearest was $306..Bon Jovi are even dearer than the Rolling Stones. There cheapest were over $400 and dearest were over $500

They are still the VIP packages - I think the cheapest ticket someone showed me was $33.50 or something. That's pretty cheap!

Will see what the Europe prices are like if they announce Europe but don't expect it to be much more expensive than previous years (depends on the venue though I guess.)

symbeline 10-11-2016 04:36 PM

I was going to say that the Wanted package seemed a good deal, until I saw the price

Didn't they learn anything from the O2 debacle? Some things never change... Exactly how many insanely priced tickets do they think they're going to sell? 5 every night? The RT thing I kinda understand but I find it hard to believe there are so many fans willing to pay that crazy price for a regular show just to have the chance to bring a fancy chair home. If it was for the first let's say 10 rows, I'll understand there's some demand and they can ask whatever they want but 40 rows?? Are we crazy?? What a ripoff!

Is this how it works with other similar artists? Because if it's not, they'll probably shoot themselves in the foot.

It'll probably be cheaper in Europe, and probably won't be much different from past tours but, what if they do really small venues? Will they allow 50€ ticket holders to stand too close to them? That's what I fear, the smaller the venue, the most improbable it'll be to get a reasonably priced ticket because "it's an intimate experience". I'm willing to pay top money to get a better experience even if it's overpriced, but I'm not an idiot. $200 for a 40 row, just... no... I saw them closer por 45€ not so long ago and I'm sure other people here have gotten better deals.

Wow, no words. No wonder they still don't have European dates
