We clearly have a different view on BJ. If I want someone to show my love for this band I Will always show him/her the LYHOM video. This sums up what this band was all about. Great catchy upbeat songs, a frontman on fire, fun on stage. Hard to believe this is the same "band" when you look at those dreadful & passionless performances like London or New York lately. I would never show anyone "TWASA" - bland generic pop country.

Yeah, then we probably do have a different view on BJ, which is fine with me :-)
I became a fan during the KTF era, and while I like NJ (and some of SWW), I cannot stand most of the stuff on the first two albums, and also most of the 80s live performances. Why? Because the songs were played too fast, the band wasn't as tight, etc.
Sure, Jon's voice was better than in the 2000s (and perfect for me on the Blaze and KTF records), and there probably was more passion (the blood on blood intro stories on the NJ tour come to mind). But still, the BJ I "grew up with" is the band from KTF onwards, with the big ballads, melodies, and (with the exception of If I Was Your Mother and the Bounce record) not so much hard rock/heavy guitars...
But it's always a good being able (to agree) to disagree on something ;-)
