Cool performance! He's handling the chorus exactly as he would back in his heyday in terms of not skipping lines. There's no way for him to do the "I set each stone..." lines other than on the last chorus, which kind of heightens the anticipation of that last chorus for that reason.

The file requests need to stop. It is a rule outlined in the sticky post under General Discussion found here: http://www.drycounty.com/jovitalk/bo...elling-t69252/

Don't put the board at risk.

Better than the previous perfomances,Tico's playing is in great form,Jon is very anxious (he started to sing the entire chorus though...that's a good sign)

I freaking loved watching Tico playing the drums, he looks like a ****ing badass.

Also I enjoy the fact that Jon at least tried singing the chorus, he even went for that rough "I'm" before the comming home part around the 3:20 mark.

As always, enjoy!

Maybe it has to do with the time. it's always harder to sing early in the morning, right?
I don't know the time of the recording, I'm speculating xD

Could be. Those tapings are usually done in the morning, which isn't really optimal for singing...

Scars is pretty cool. the song has that thing they have some songs from 100 millions... box set, that I love.

Hmm, I'm gonna have to try this.

I love the love being shown for "I'm Your Man." As simple as it is, it is infectious and fun. That melody gets stuck in your head.

Just finished listening to the entire 12 track THINFS album doing Harmonix Music VR in Playstation VR. That was an amazing way to experience the album! It was done in the 'experience' called "The Trip," which is essentially a kaleidoscope visualization. Rather than being random, each track is analyzed in advance before starting. Transitions during songs... such as the intro to THINFS give way to explosive visuals when the drums kick in. It sucked me in and I found myself singing along with the entire album.

It won't actually let me capture it via video as it is greyed-out as an option, but here is a sample of how it looks:

The Beginning of Color Me In sounds like Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of by U2.

Going to make a review on the album (finally)

Firstly, got the album on Friday and listened to it after work. I wasn't well at all on Friday and had my girlfriend down for the weekend so first listen wasn't as good as I wanted (not down to the actual album)

Listened to the album with headphones before and I have to say, I love it!! Genuinely love it...

'This House Is Not For Sale' - Really grown on me. I liked it originally but I have grown to like it more and more. Still think 'I'm coming homeeee' part is one of the best parts to any song

'Living With The Ghost' - Fantastic. Lyrically, this is one of the best songs JBJ has wrote. So many lines in the song that I love. The bridge is amazing and the melody and beat is SO good.

'Knockout' - Probably the weakest song for me. It had the potential to be a great song but it's just a bit flat for me, unfortunately. Never really liked it.

'Labor Of Love' - I love this song. It's 50/50 with a lot of people but it's just a nice chilled out song. Sometimes we need these songs...

'Born Again Tomorrow' - I have no idea why this song gets a lot of negativity. It's great live and it's great as a studio song too. The beat is brilliant and it's a modern BJ song. It'd do so well in charts with promo...

'Rollercoaster' - LOVED this live and I love it on studio. My only problem is how Jon says 'eyesss' on the chorus. Apart from that, it's such a catchy fun song. Love the 'Woahhhh, Rollercoasterrrr' parts too.

'New Years Day' - Great to hear a little bit of aggression from JBJ on the start of the choruses. Miss them raspy vocals. Not the greatest song in the world but it's stuck in my head already. It's a song I won't skip but not my first choice either.

'The Devils In The Temple' - This is the song I've needed since 'Hook Me Up.' I've always wondered if JBJ could pull off a rock song again and he easily can. The best song on the album for me. Jon sounds fantastic. The ending blew me away. I knew when we heard it live that it'd have a shout at the end. So much passion. Welcome back, JBJ.

'Scars On This Guitar' - Superb. Chorus is very well delivered and it's another honest song. Genuinely a great song.

'God Bless This Mess' - I love the lyrics. The first verse is so honest and something we have needed to hear. Similar to NYD, it's not a song I'll skip but it's not the best on the album. Good and catchy though.

'Reunion' - Much better than the acoustic version we heard. I prefer this live I think, though.

'Come On Up To Our House' - I like it for what it is but I'm not overly excited by it. The video is corny as hell too.

'Real Love' - It's good enough. My girlfriend absolutely loves it. I think it's decent.

'All Hail The King' - This should have made the proper album. I enjoyed it live and enjoy it just as much on the CD. Guitars could possibly be a bit louder as it could have been a great rocky song.

'We Don't Run' - Prefer the Burning Bridges version but what a song!

'I Will Drive You Home' - Great song ruined by shitty robots at the end. Seriously, what is that shit? I cringe. Love the song up until that part.

'Goodnight New York' - Fun! I really enjoyed listening to this song. Fun is the best way to describe it.

'Color Me In' - I thought it was quite bland on first listen but it has really grown on me!!

'Touch Of Grey' - Same as 'Color Me In'

I am impressed with this album. Is it the rock album we wanted? Nah. Is it a good album? Definitely. That's what matters to me.

Some songs, you can tell JBJ poured his heart out. Infact, most songs you can. His vocals aren't as strong as they used to be obviously but he sounds passionate on so many songs. This also feels like a band album. I haven't said that in a while but input is there from everybody.

I don't know what I'd rank it out of 10 just yet. 8 maybe? I'd have to give it a few more listens but I'm so glad that I like it.

Color Me In sounds somewhat Stonesy, bluesy. Sounds much more like a band effort than many of the Shanks-era tracks, and has some very nice guitar licks. Do we know who wrote the track? JBJ / Falcon?

I might have to arrange my own 12 track version of the album from the 19 songs that were written. Is there a thread on that already?

Jonty 11-07-2016 02:21 AM

Are there mp3s of Color me in and touch of grey anywhere please? Reading all the comments but not heard them!

I just listened to Color Me In. That song was meant to slow dance to. In fact, if I get married, that just might be my first dance song because I don't like traditional cheesy love songs or typical wedding songs.

CharlieShipley 11-07-2016 05:36 AM

I love this album.
My favorites so far are "God Bless This Mess", "Roller Coaster", "New Years Day" and "The Devil's In The Temple."
I pre-ordered it from BonJovi.com, but am going to have to go get the Target deluxe version to hear the other songs.
I will say, this is the first album where I've believed the line about "the whole album tells a story."

It's my faith 11-07-2016 09:21 AM

Yes, according to Tidal and Wikipedia

That was my first thought after the shows. I recently discovered that the "official" bonus tracks (ie the ones played at the shows) are not included with the regular version so maybe All Hail The King won't be a regular as I hoped.

In that case I resent having Reunion (the only song I don't like from the regular album) instead of it :(

Anyway, I think that the fact that's one of the songs where Phil plays on the album gives it a higher chance to end up in the setlist
