I personally hate fade-outs. Sometimes when I listen to songs I imagine I'm in the concert. And I can't do that when the music just fades out. So I'm glad they came to their senses.

Worst fade out for me is Blood Money. It fades out in the middle of a verse - always hated that!

According to Bon Jovi's FB page.. looks like tomorrow we'll have the video for The Devils In The Temple! Shows a power figure ordering this band around Jon is in the background

Captain_jovi 12-01-2016 03:48 AM

Hoping against hope the whole band is performing in this one. This is the first clip I've felt any anticipation for. I really want this one to do well enough that it sends a message fans want more songs like this

Agreed! That just sucks.

Apart from that, I LOVE the fade outs. Maybe because I got used to it in the 90s. But yeah, having a proper ending to a song is not bad if done properly. Most of the BJ song endings since Bounce are just lame and many times I feel theyy could've added a little something. Because they had great endings before, like "Hey God" or "Good Guys"...
And those endings come just too soon, that's what bothers me the most. When a song needs to keep the momentum going for a bit (ad lips and stuff), there is an open chord and that's it. It's just one of those symptoms of them not doing enough with the songs but delivering demo versions of what they would've done with a given song back in the day...

No interviews, no spots, no more promo shows, no on tv, radios ..... it's strange.

Tidal video of this week? is tomorrow right?

Yeah, they seem to be only relying on the upcoming videos to keep the momentum, i got your point. it would be cool if the band made video spots for each of the forthcoming tour stops. I guess there will be some activity around the release of THINFS Live in mid-December, which is when I believe more tour dates will be published. As for the new Tidal Video for The Devil's in the temple, it should be up any time now.

Yeah, I've seen the 9 added dates already. However, I assume they will announce more dates, including outside North America, and the live album release is a good opportunity to do just that.

BonJovi100 12-01-2016 08:45 PM

Video is on tidal.

SPOILER
I like it! I like there is a little Jon but I can se real satisfaction on his face ;) I wish there were band on it but i like it.

liljovi93 12-01-2016 09:26 PM

Video is shite.

JBJ at the end is proper cheese on toast. I like the idea behind his reaction but the close up of him smirking doesn't look like him and is weird.

Wish he was in it more actually because his little cameos were okay.

Have you got another link instead of the Tidal one to watch the video ?

Captain_jovi 12-01-2016 10:02 PM

I liked the video the most out of all the Tidal ones but it's such a missed opportunity to not show the full band in a rock setting.

This is not about the band anymore. Is the Jon's toy.

BonJovi100 12-01-2016 10:15 PM

It's very personal song for Jon so it could be the reason to only ut Jon on it. Rest videos probably will have all band on it.

_KaMi_ 12-01-2016 10:15 PM

At least we know they all are in Rollercoaster and God bless this mess

nikos greece 12-01-2016 10:15 PM

the video was ok imo, could be better, could also be much worse, liked the approach and is quite smart, could turn some heads in the press..:2gunfire:
ps1.i think jon in many cases, videos and promo interviews tries to rest the guys and give them time off to have them fresh...i dont think at this point jon thinks it has to be only me, instead i guess its if its not necessary lets give some days off before the tour etc...a video shoot for tico for example is 2-3 days away from his family with the distances etc,

And in New Years Day....

symbeline 12-01-2016 11:33 PM

Not a bad idea but poor execution. I guess the message they are trying to convey is “young artists nowadays can’t be themselves without the high powers meddling to turn them into something mainstream and marketable” but the whole “female performers have to be sexualized to be popular” (while true 90% of the time) is trite. It’d have worked better if it was a male rock singer forced to be a walking billboard ad for all the popular music genres, like having a female dancer grinding against him, a duet with a rapper, some kid break dancing, a hipster playing a retro synthesizer while doing some David Guetta moves, a teen playing guitar like it’s a videogame and dozens of hysterical girls yelling and trying to kiss him… or even better, have the actual band playing in front of the record executives who ignore them because they are trying to find younger and cooler substitutes and then the band says ****-this-i’m-outta-here and next scene is them playing in a garage just for fun, the way it’s supposed to be, no dancers, no diamonds no lip syncing (err, wrong song). Imagine Hugh fighting with the breakdancing kid for the spotlight, Dave yanking the Bieber-looking teen hair… the possibilities...

Oh well, lost opportunity, next time they should call me ;)

Edit: I miss their funny/lighter videos. I know it's a "serious" song but the absurdity of them being replaced by something more current but totally unrelated to their type of music and style would have worked if mixed with some angstier shots

Yeah, it's the only one I want to rewatch, but these videos are very cheap-looking and meh, a decent one it's still pretty mediocre.

At least Jon is not trying to act, he's actually good at looking exasperated, which is an attitude he has mastered over the years :D

I found the girl singing all the song a little bit irritating. I think singing only the more agressive parts and switching between her and Jon would have worked better to convey the idea.

Javier 12-02-2016 12:37 AM

Holy shit!! WTF is up with Jon's smirk at the end!??!!! He looks weird as hell!! Like he had one of those snapchat filters sewn up in his face on surgery!!!! Weird!!!

Santa Fe 12-02-2016 12:42 AM

It's a very sexist video.
This song deserves a better video :o

Captain_jovi 12-02-2016 12:55 AM

How is it sexist?

Because of the way the behave with the girl:rolleyes:

Captain_jovi 12-02-2016 01:00 AM

It's not the band making a sexist video, the plot is the sexist undertones the higher-ups put on new artists to sell more albums.

rolo_tomachi 12-02-2016 01:02 AM

I can not see it in tidal. Any alternative site? :(

Until a better one is available....

rosa3 12-02-2016 01:20 AM

Personally I find the video empowering for young women, its a strong message on how the industry truly is, all image and no substance, especially for young female artists. I will bet a million dollars that there has been female artists, whether music, acting, or any other entertainment field, wanted to do what the girl did towards the end of the video, and from the little smirk that Jon gave in the end, he likes that to.

It's utter garbage. One of the worst they've ever done. It somehow cheapens the song for me.

Can safely say I'll never watch it again. And I'm an Everton fan, so I'm well used to watching shite.

Hahaha I like it.. :D A bit cheap, but it will work these days for the 'pop culture' audience. :)

I even laughed a little bit at the end. It delivers the message alright. ;)

Rdkopper 12-02-2016 01:31 PM

Even the videos have that DA feel...

Jon moping around in the backgrounds...

bonjovi90 12-02-2016 03:55 PM

I also think that this video is pretty much shit...

Grantos1 12-02-2016 03:57 PM

Apologies if this has been discussed, but can anyone guess why they are producing videos for most of the tracks? Whilst not millions, they're spending money on it, there must be a reason for it as a promotion tool. Seems odd for a band like Bon Jovi to do.

Fits perfectly to the song. I don't like the song at all.

I think it's part of their deal with Tidal. They produce the videos.

Rdkopper 12-02-2016 07:42 PM

I believe tomorrow is the Sirius - Miami Concert... If I'm home, I'll record it...
