Yep. I'm going to do a little "off topic" because of the video. The new video of the Rolling is a really cool video.

Apologies if this has been discussed, but can anyone guess why they are producing videos for most of the tracks? Whilst not millions, they're spending money on it, there must be a reason for it as a promotion tool. Seems odd for a band like Bon Jovi to do.

This seems to be something a lot of artists are doing. Metallica did it, Beyonce did it, Bon Jovi's doing it. They all say it has to do with realizing their artistic vision and now that the main source to watch videos is online streaming that they're not limited by just doing videos for the single and so on. Me? I think it has a lot more to do with now that x ammount of streams of a song from an album equals an album sold it just makes business sense to do it.

While I would've loved to have the band in the video, I really like it!

Thomas S 12-05-2016 05:58 AM

The Phil X fan club facebook page has a behind the scenes clip of the music video (Born Again Tomorrow), it actually shows the band miming to the entire song.

If only Jon had that much energy on stage!

Lucas_Roli 12-05-2016 09:44 AM

All Hail The King has really grown on me. Great song!

Have you got the link? Can't seem to find it

Can't seem to directly link the video, but if you scroll down past all the stuff about the Miami show you should see the video titled 'Phil X with Bon Jovi backstage on the set of Born Again Tomorrow'.

Yeah, energy seems alright on the video but he was making me dizzy!

jon-flp 12-08-2016 08:08 PM

anyone already uploaded the roller coaster video on youtube? :D

Thomas S 12-09-2016 04:37 AM

Roller Coaster video is probably my least favourite. All the others had a obvious story/theme that made them interesting. As far as I could tell this one was literally people riding rollercoasters.

Cheers for the smart-ass reply.
I have seen the video (and had already before I posted that comment), despite your uninformed assumption.
When I said 'as far as I can tell' I was leaving open the possibility that maybe I had missed something in the way of theme/story.

SuperBrad 12-09-2016 09:36 AM

Aside from being my least favorite song on the album , its the worst video so far ... completely meaningless.

There's no single narrative, but I think all of those people are meant to be couples at various stages of their lives and relationships (and varying stages of happiness). Like there's that old couple on the bench and the young couple looking upset etc.

Or I might be overthinking things and it could just be random people riding rollercoasters like you said. :p

Roller coaster (low quality):
https://vk.com/bon_jovi_club?w=wall-11623_62616

Lame ass video

What happened to Jon? He looks awkward as hell lately when performing, not only static. Shows, videos... he used to be very engaging

rokenrola 12-10-2016 09:12 PM

I like this video and videos before this one, this is about relationships between woman and man, about life through rollercoaster, its very nice video!
I really like this new energy,Jons behavior, its good for my eyes and ears!

The video is great, but Jon's acting is really lame. Those steps he does... don't have 1/4 of the energy the song has.

It seems as if he´s, at least unconsciently, protecting his operated knee, and I know what I´m talking about :( . And it´s that you can have the best surgeons and doctors around you, but your body will tell at the end. What I can see is that he looks more confortable standing on right leg I think it is. Do you remember which knee he was operated on?

It was his left knee that he hurt on the 2011 tour.

Just heard Rollercoaster for the first time on German radio. It was announced as the "new single" on that station.

Born Again Tomorrow is the best single for the radio, but I would launch it with the beginning of the tour.

Javier 12-12-2016 04:06 AM

Really liking the video for Roller coaster. Simple and effective...

Most likely that is their plan. They've been holding out on it for a reason.

Simon 12-12-2016 12:46 PM

What is a single nowadays? Songs released to the radio? There are no physical singles anymore, yet there are videos for every song... I couldn't tell what the "official" singles were so far. THINFS and "Knockout"?

A single is a song released globally to the radio stations and music televisions. "THINFS" was a first single. "Roller Coaster" is a brand new second single. "Knockout", "Labor" and "Born Again" were released as a promo singles. Just like "I'm Your Man", "Blind Love" and "Teardrop to the Sea" around year ago.

I hate Born Again Tomorrow so I totally disagree with this. Rollercoaster is a much more radio friendly single IMO.

I don't like BAT either but I can imagine it doing well on radio.

I'm not saying it's the best song on the album, but this one sounds like Bon Jovi, and sounds modern, I think it fits better for the radios. Roller Coaster does not even sound like Bon Jovi.
