Good effort JBJ! Nailed that high note.

Definitely a big improvement!!

Guarantee you'll get the same people 'you think this sounds good? I must be hearing something different, he sounds shit' but it's definitely an improvement and for the first proper band show since 2015, I think it's a great start and hopefully it continues!

Nailed the high note? Wow you must be joking. If you're referring to the second chorus before the solo, that note has been been lip sync'ed since the 2nd show of the 2015 tour. It's so obvious as it sounds completely different to the rest of his vocals on the song. It shocks that some people on this board are still fooled by this. It makes me think that casuals won't even realize the difference either.

As far as my assessment of the performance - the same old. It sounds pretty much the same as the Miami iheartradio show. It's actually one of the easier songs due to easy verses and difficult notes being comfortable to skip. Any improvements are either incremental or perceived to the recording. Once we hear a pro/soundboard/livestream recording, any 'improvement' theories shall be put to rest.

That's a fact? The lip sync bit?

It's the same recording from the 2013 Metlife livestream.

If you need obvious evidence:
- Check that part on the soundboard recording on the SiriusXM Miami show, where there is a playback and then Jon makes it obvious by singing on top of it and obviously missing the note. It's not obvious on the audience recording on YouTube, but on the pro one - very much obvious.
- Compare any performance from 2013 Australian leg (where Jon was live and struggling) to 2015 performances.

Obviously, I don't have evidence to prove that THIS specific show uses that same playback as a fact, but based on my above-average-trained ears, it sounded the same to me. And again, the vocal difference to the rest of the song is quite apparent.

Disappointing if that's the case. And most definitely a lot of fans will be unaware. Let's reserve final judgement until better quality recording are available.

It amazes me to see so many "singing experts" on this board. I'M a singer..... I make a living out of it..... 23 gigs just in december and I've been singing for 20 years so I Know my $h!t. Jon's voice last night was right on... didn't struggle on any songs. And he did sing the part before the solo in prayer no playback used there. I was really impressed. Looks like he Worked his a$s off to get at that level if you compare to the last tour. For the first "real" show it's a good performance
