The Lost Highway tour was indeed the last truly inspired and vocally unstoppable Jon we saw.

I remember watching him in Coventry on a Tuesday night, which wasn't a particularly big show compared to the European biggies like London, Dublin, Munich etc but Jon was giving 100% with this kind of godly ease. It was like he had everything under his control, the crowd, the band and most importantly his voice.

Can anyone find an autopilot Jon on the LH tour? He was nailing it night after night.

And let's not forget Richie was clean and belting out a solo song every night.

What's happened since is nothing short of sad.

While you're right on most parts, I actually did witness a Jon on autopilot on the LH tour, and that was in Leipzig, Germany. That was the shortest BJ concert I've ever been to (I think 1:40h or something), and in Hamburg it was totally different (2:40h and lots of energy). Could be due to the fact that they played for about 3h in Munich the night before IIRC, but shouldn't be an excuse...

Was his voice shot?

Same thing happened to the O2 residencey show I went too. They played Paris the night before and Jon admitted to have had too much wine. He just wasn't interested.

Hmm, I don't remember exactly TBH, but I think his voice was just fine. He was just tired or couldn't be bothered. The crowd wasn't into it too much as well though, so I can't blame him exclusively - we all know what a diva Jon can be ;-)

Was anything said about more USA dates?

Good video of Blood On Blood. Comparing this to the soundboard recording, the rest of the band is far more present here.

Thanks for all the links

You can always count on the JT community to find anything BJ related ;)

I've been trying for a while to make a top5 for every tour since 2000 (best shows, best performances of the songs -regular hits, album cuts and rarities-, best setlists) but it's time consuming and I keep forgetting to make the actual list. That's a start, thanks
