Just Older - what an amazing song!

This song has kinda become my anthem, as I'm struggling with my first age crisis. I'm turning 18 in December, which means that I'm basically an adult according to the Finnish society system. While I certainly wouldn't want to be a toddler nor even a ten-year-old again, I still feel like there will be some kind of a feeling lacking in my life as soon as I'll hit that age. Shit happens, I'll never be a kid again, but that's life. I'm getting beard on my cheeks, mustache under my nose and I'm still struggling with the god-damn pimples I first got when I was 13. My voice is shot (I've always loved to sing, but those high notes really are a bitch - trying to hit the chorus on "Always" pretty much kills me nowadays), I'm sweating like a pig all the time (which makes me stink worse than Bobby's solos), I'm getting man boobs... But, then again, I wouldn't have wanted to miss anything I've experienced in my life to this day. Hell, I haven't been around for that long of a time - I still have shitloads of years ahead. I'm NOT old - just older!

What a brilliant song:

Lol... I'll second that... However, it's a lot easier being 42 than 18 in today's world...

As far as the song, it's just okay for me...

But that has nothing to do with age ;)

I'm not even going to say what I'm about to hit age wise. And I like the song because it kind of flies in the face of the U.S. culture of worshipping youth.

18 huh?

Age crisis?

Forgive me, but..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

This was the funniest shit I've read all day!

Lol you were born when Just Older was being recorded.

Now I feel old at 30. :(

I struggled with something similar when I turned 20. Thought my days of messing around were over, time to be a responsible adult. How wrong I was :D During my twenties I went thru countless relationships, jobs, parties, friends, studies, happiness, bad times and what not. It was a great period in my life, since I wasn't a kid anymore but I was till young and pretty much care-free. Don't worry, you've got a lot of youth still ahead of you.

I used to think when I was younger, that people over 18 were old. Adults. Now that I'm past 30 I think people between 18-25 should be called post-teens.
