Damn, that Montreal version is straight fire... oh Jon, what have you done

That very first "I'm alive" and "night at a time" parts in the intro haven't been sung that well since...2001?

I don't mind any trickery in studio recordings as they're supposed to be 'perfect', but can't help but feel it's morally wrong to do it on what you sell as a "live recording". This is exactly the reason why they don't sell those recordings minutes after the show (like Bruce Springsteen or Robbie Williams), but a few days later. Also, it gives all the Jon's apologists to post these falsified recordings and act like "see?? i told you he's not that bad!!!"

Well if you are refering to me as a "jon's apologist" you are very much mistaken:wink:

Not true about Bruce. The reason why his take a while is because they are mixed and mastered after thousands of complaints when ONELIVE (the company running BJ's live recordings now) had him. I have spoken to Bruce on numerous occasions about this process at his book signings and around town (we live in the same town). He told me that Jon Altschiller came highly recommended by NUGS and PHISH and after giving him the first MSG show from last year as a test they were blown away. There is nothing fixed on these recordings and he said he approves each one and listens to them (altho he didn't say if he did the entire show or maybe certain songs?) He also said he was glad the fans loved it because he always thought nobody would want them.

Cool story (not sarcastically!), but I never said Bruce's recordings are doctored. I said Bon Jovi's are, in contrast to, for example, Bruce or Robbie. I thought Bruce (much like Robbie) sold them instantly, but if he doesn't, then my mistake.
