12th February, 2017 - BB&T Center, Sunrise, USA

Today evening Florida time Bon Jovi will be playing the BB&T Center in Sunrise.

The last time they played there was on the Because We Can Tour, on March 2nd 2013 (Jon's birthday, by the way). According to setlist.fm, What About Now was already down to four tracks by that time. Let's see how THINFS will develop :) That day's setlist was pretty much standard:

1. You Give Love A Bad Name
2. Raise You Hands
3. Lost Highway
4. Because We Can
5. That's What the Water Made Me
6. It's My Life
7. Runaway
8. What About Now
9. We Got It Goin' On
10. Keep the Faith
11. Amen
12. Bed of Roses
13. I'll Be There For You
14. Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars
15. We Weren't Born to Follow
16. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
17. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
18. Wanted Dead Or Alive
19. Who Says You Can't Go Home
20. Bad Medicine

21. You Want To Make A Memory
22. In These Arms
23. Born To Be My Baby

24. Have A Nice Day
25. Livin' On A Prayer

-----

So, what do you think will today's setlist look like? What are your expectations and hopes or maybe fears? Do you think we will see any surprises? To all who are going: have lots of fun and a great time.
Let the discussion begin. :)

From next week on I am not sure if I will have much time for Jovitalk, so I would be glad if someone else opened the threads.

Ac/dc have 18 songs for the tour and it doesn't change.
Only when Axl filled in did they vary it up.
Jovi will always change sets but maybe after 2 songs they won't just yet

In all fairness, with new members it's just not as easy...

Captmorgs 02-12-2017 03:59 PM

If he just dropped Work For The Working Man for Runaway, casuals and diehards would be much happier with the first half of the set.

And it's time for Living With The Ghost. Maybe the best new song, Jon can sing it, and he believes in it. It could be the new Love's The Only Rule, with inspired performances of a song he's really proud of.

Dave said they rehearsed 95 songs. So it's not that unrealistic that they add some other songs to the set.
I guess it depends much more on Jon's mood and goodwill than on the rest of the band.

Superman Tonight, Whole Lot of Leavin', Raise Your Hands, Runaway, Come On Up To Our House, Captian Crash - one of those will make a grand return tonight. I really don't see it being realistic to hope for anything more exotic than that.

What is Jon saying at 3:53 about playing WFTWM on this tour? (if the link desn't work it's the first video from the Ft Lauderdale Q&A on the Bon Jovi Updates page)

Tbh, I also don't really believe We will See major changes, and i'm more curious About the show on the 14th. That's valentine's day, and (except for the BWC Tour) I reckon it was Something like a post-2000 Tradition to play thank you for loving me. Not a fantastic Song imo, but it would be somewhat nice to hear it again. Personal realistic wishes for this One would be born again tomorrow, and maybe runaway to make the First half more "bearable" for the casuals (as Captmorgs said).

@Drycounty I wish I could help you out better, but from what I understood, he Says he doesn't play These days songs In the US because people don't like it and it doesn't work there. But well, does Working man work there? Does it work anywhere at All? (No pun intended).
So, if anybody understands more, please feel Free to help us out ;)

Yeah, the usual crap about TD not working in the States, which is sad but unfortunately very true, we've all heard as long as I can remember. More curious about what he says about Working Man, I can't make out how he's justifying about playing it live.

I am very much paraphrasing as the sound was not good on the recording but I believe he was saying On Work and the songs from THINFS that he will play them because he wants to and he doesn't care if the reaction isn't good. Jon is somewhat known for that, it's that one for you one for me philosophy. I'm happy to hear that he wants to stay committed to the songs from the album the tour is supporting but I don't get his love for Work lol! If I'm a betting person, which I am, I think it will be dropped and replaced soon.
