That's one sad looking set list.

Wow, that's a new low. BTBMB is cringeworthy. It's so slow and lacking of energy ...

Clearly y'all don't remember the 2011 North American leg with Phil X right before the amazing Europe shows in the summer. Those sets were just as static (see link below). These are typical NA sets and I don't know why y'all get so frustrated if they play the same sets like almost all bands do. Sure I'd love to see them mix it up, but frankly if you're not at the concert it doesn't affect you whatsoever. Jon is not entitled to play your dream set at every show, he can play what he wants and the arenas will still be sold out to the rafters regardless. You all bitch and moan over everything, either the set list is bad or his voice is bad or the recording cleans up his voice too much so it sounds fake. No matter what they do, y'all always have to complain. Just enjoy the concert if you go. I had a blast in Greenville this year and I plan on doing the same in Phoenix in 2 weeks. Not many bands anymore do a 2 and a half hour show.

But you're coming to a board with a handful of posts telling people that have been discussing the band for 15 years on here to change how they are. It absolutely affects me if the setlist doesn't change tour to tour because tickets are expensive and if I'm getting the same songs and the new ones that is going to determine if I'm paying to go. Sure the tickets will sell good if I'm there or not but that shouldn't take away our right to have a problem with a stale setlist being reused.

We're not taking away the fun people have at the shows nor are we criticizing for people going for the sheer joy of going. I wish I was able to plunk down that money but once you see a band 20+ times you start wanting something different and we're in the absolute minority.

I think that this is One of the worst btbmb of the history

It's disheartening when you go to a show, have an amazing time, and then read nothing but complaining from people who were not even there.

I was there. I had a great time. The people around me were dancing and singing. I saw everyone from little kids to older people. Everyone walking out of the arena was singing Wanted and Prayer. No one THERE was bitching.

I personally liked the set and was far more disappointed to hear BTBMB again than Whole Lot of Leaving. But the majority of the crowd wants the big hits and I think it was pretty well balanced to please the casual fan and indulge a super fan like me who wants new album tracks and a few album tracks. Would I have personally switched out a song or two, sure. But I left HAPPY. Just as I have every other Bon Jovi concert I have ever attended.

BTW, the changes I would have made would be
What's Left of Me for Working Man.... same message, better song
Always for BTBMB.... bigger hit, better song, not as over played

How did Jon's voice come across being there live?

In good shape. You can tell he's really put work into getting back in shape to sing steady and well for a set. He was a bit winded on Bad Medicine. I've never been a big fan of BTBMB live, so it was just kind of "meh" to me, but it was in 15 years ago too. No, he doesn't sound like he did on the These Days tour, but he sounds good. I certainly won't be cringing when my BFF takes her youngest daughter to see him in a month. He can handle it. I appreciate that he knows he had work to do and he made the effort. He delivered a solid performance from my perspective and my friends agreed.
