I reckon I've said the above in every show thread at least 3 times!!

That's the important thing. I'm glad you enjoyed the show, Becky. :)

I was there. I had a great time. The people around me were dancing and singing. I saw everyone from little kids to older people. Everyone walking out of the arena was singing Wanted and Prayer. No one THERE was bitching.

I personally liked the set and was far more disappointed to hear BTBMB again than Whole Lot of Leaving. But the majority of the crowd wants the big hits and I think it was pretty well balanced to please the casual fan and indulge a super fan like me who wants new album tracks and a few album tracks. Would I have personally switched out a song or two, sure. But I left HAPPY. Just as I have every other Bon Jovi concert I have ever attended.

BTW, the changes I would have made would be
What's Left of Me for Working Man.... same message, better song
Always for BTBMB.... bigger hit, better song, not as over played

Firstly, I'm glad you had a good time and I agree 100000% on What's Left of Me. One of his most underrated song. Love it.

Secondly, I think the problem- certainly for me- isn't that the show isn't good, it's just if you're planning on seeing multiple shows, then you're entitled to be upset. 3 shows within a reasonable radius in Atlanta and two in Florida- it's entirely plausable that there will be fans who would have done all three shows, and seen one different song and two identical setlists. Now will the show still be good? Yes. But it would be why pay the money plus travel, accommodation etc when there is little/no incentive in terms of variation, especially when he said he rehearsed 95 songs to 'keep it fresh'. Even if it was That's What the Water Made Me and What's Left of Me for WFTWM and WGIGO- even if it's changes for changes sake- just throw the multiple show goers a bone. That's the issue, not that the show isn't good. I'm going to LA in a couple of weeks and, while I'm there, I'm seeing Bon Jovi and will love it and am looking forward to it. But I wouldn't build a trip around it, nor would I go and see the one in San Diego days earlier, because it's not worth it to me. Bruce Springsteen, I generally see 5 times a tour, because of his setlist variation, plus I just think he's better overall tbh. I think there should be as few guarantees as possible when going to see a concert, and there are so many with Bon Jovi including the order that baring in mind the depth of his catalogue, he should be utilising more changes.

Listen to btbmb and prayer, jon's voice is ridicolous.
Do you think that jon is in a good shape?
Ok, but you are clearly unreliable

Your expectations are obviously still high.

There are still many people, myself included, who are used to the state of Jon's voice and are happy with it.

Don't decide for others that it is 'unacceptable' or that they are 'clearly unreliable' for liking something which you don't.

What an incredibly rude post. Who are you to say how Becky should feel? If people have fun, friggin' let them.

I personally didn't see much wrong with the performance... Jon dodged some of the high notes, but he still sounded alright. However, I don't quite get why, nor do I like that they slowed it down

It's no use relying on other people's opinions if you haven't experienced the thing yourself. I've read ecstatic reviews with folks claiming that Jon's voice is back and he's in better shape than ever. God, I was listening to it on a good stereo system and cringing at the same time. It's bad! I know, expectations are maybe too high, as I got used to some pretty high standards, but there are musicians even older than Jon or Richie and they somehow managed to sound decent even today. The rock'n'roll style took its toll so they can blame only themselves for being reckless with their primary work tool overusing it or abusing with cigs and God knows what stuff. I DO enjoy BJ music and will be listening to their vast catalogue many years to come but the live thing isn't what I'm dying to experience. Too bad because BJ were stage animals back in the day and I'd give a lot to be able to attend their concert then... As I've already pointed out, I'm terribly late with good things but thank God for youtube and fan communities <3

Of course a you tube video taken with a phone with some variable parameter of quality is much more reliable than the real thing standing 40 feet in front of me. Your welcome to your opinion of a video, but don't assume I can't appraise the real deal in real time and real space.
