Nothing special for Nashvile? And still no big ballads? These are alarming signs for the rest of the tour. Jon just keeps dropping whatever special moments he had on night one and replacing with his usual overplayed shit (e.g. Sleep, WLOL). I predict Lay Your Hands is the next one to get dropped.

LYHOM should open the encore with the drum intro. That'd be amazing...

What still surprises me is that if only Jon farts into the microphone, people will like it. I saw some videos of the last 2 shows and I'm absolutely shocked, he sounds atrocious. I'm also let down of the lack of movement, he looks like a statue. Phil X still has it, rocks out like a maniac and does what he is paid for.

Sad to say, both Bon Jovi and Sambora are dead as a live performance. Very sad day for music.

Yep, the comments section on YouTube is a scary place. You'd think Jon was giving Pavarotti style vocal performances when in reality he sounds like a mouse farting into a megaphone.

I can't think of another band that went from sounding so good to sounding this bad.

There is still too many Backstagers who will defend him no matter what. It is what it is. After pushing his voice many years this is quite logical.

Saw Dream Theater last week in Düsseldorf, James LaBrie was on the same level as JBJ, all over the place and very flat.

Yep it's sad to see and hear but time has caught up with the pair of them. It was the passion and energy that gave Bon Jovi that extra hit. Obviously great songs and performances but they always had something more. I still saw that in 2011 at the show in Hyde Park but since that tour it has been a downward spiral. I am happy to have seen the band many times in their prime.

It's a touring start, and the American audience is not very passionate. I guess Jon does not want to wear down their little voice over by making unnecessary efforts for an ungrateful public.

The shows in California, Philadelphia and NY could bring something new and better though, as they are cities that Jon loves.

It's not backstagers... I just think it's about the rock star, performer, and legacy.... and not just the voice...

People here are obsessed with Jon's voice and judge him like its the X Factor...

I'm somewhere in the middle... yeah, it sucks Jon doesn't sound or write music the way he did until 1996 but that ship has sunk a long time ago for me... Now it's about finding moments of enjoyment... a song here and there or a decent vocal here and there... I'm digging some of the tracks from the past two albums and I think Jon nailed some of the new tracks live...

I don't dwell that Jon doesn't sing Bad Name right became imo, it hasn't sounded good for the past 20 years...

That's where I am currently with this band...

I half agree with you, but there is something that has changed since Because We Can Tour, it is the energy flow of the show. This makes the show itself, is rather weak. Anyway, I think Jon is booking for the bigger shows, and this first part will be a set-up. My question is, If did he break their voice again on this tour? Will these shows be the best of this tour because it could weaken even more his voice?

The first shows of 2013 were quite acceptable, but something changed 3 months later and Jon's voice shot forever, this could happen again.

Maybe that's Jon's fear, and not wanting to risk it so soon.

His voice isn't the only issue though. He used to be a great showman too. Now he stands at the mic stand and moves his arms around every so often. He's completely changed overall.

Comparing the Jon of 95 and the 2017 Jon is massively unfair but I don't think anyone is doing that. It's the fact he's declined so drastically since 2011 is what has most of us bewildered.

I get what you're saying though and hope you enjoy your show.
