This is probably the strongest he's sounded on HAND I've heard this tour.

EDIT: Last chorus... spoke too soon

Yeah. Plus, he even moved while singing it.

rightsideofwrong 03-05-2017 07:10 AM

Bummed im not there..Moved to wisconsin for nursing school, but the band has always put on strong shows in AZ. Makes me excited for chicago though. I feel there's more chance for something out of the norm in LA/NY/chicago/vegas rather than most places, but who knows.

Kokutetsu101 03-05-2017 07:11 AM

So he is getting better
Thats good

It's still Not really good imo. And while he sings some songs better, some (devil, lyhom) got worse. Don't really know how to rate jon's voice right now.

Don't worry about rating it. Just enjoy what we've got left. They aren't going to tour forever.

"Judge" would have been the right word, sorry. My English has become a bit rusty lately :D

But even though I don't share your attitude here, I have the feeling that it might be the healthiest. I would love to see the band, too, if they came to a place I could actually go to...

Manbou 03-05-2017 07:20 AM

Enjoying KTF now and then hoping for a cool encore opener. Setlist-wise, the show should be safe from now on ;)

Edit: Jon went for the high Yeahs again.

Kokutetsu101 03-05-2017 07:20 AM

So far the same setlist except for the jumpin' Jack Flash part

We Weren't Born to Follow and Roller Coaster switched places too, but aside from that, you got it right. Still, the Jumpin' Jack Flash snippet already made it a bit better imo. If they could include a cover snippet every show and rotate them a bit...

It never disappoints. It's hard to believe how can he do as well as he can on KTF but still struggles all the way through WSYCGO. I don't get it.

Speaking of cover snippets, Sympathy for the Devil during KTF has always been a favorite snippet. I wish they'd pull it out every now and then. That said, the solos are also very cool.

Agree. My guess would be that it's some kind of psychological thing, that Jon pushes himself harder for KTF because he considers it a hard song to sing.

Yeah
That'll be cool! Or maybe do multiple cover snippets

Maybe with Phil, David and Hugh singing something from time to time, as already being suggested often.

And now, the exciting part: the encore opener.

Edit: Meh. Because We Can.

BWC in the encore is such a downer. :(

Manbou 03-05-2017 07:32 AM

Hard to believe that he can't even sing this right. And I don't mean the semi-high notes in the verses, but that he can't hit a single note right.

rightsideofwrong 03-05-2017 07:34 AM

any other streams out there?

Manbou 03-05-2017 07:34 AM

Stacy Gardell has another one running on Facebook.

Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/Stacygardel...0739130928356/

My best guess it goes back to the WSYCGH problem. Maybe it's a breathing thing. Songs with fast(ish) lyrics without many breaks seem to have become more difficult.

As an encore opener, it's especially bad imo.

I understand that he also wants to play songs he likes, and as long as it's "one for me, one for you", I'm fine with it. But I don't have the feeling that he is really doing this.

I think that's a good point, but not 100% "bulletproof". The chorus of KTF isn't really faster and/or lower than say the verses of BWC or the chorus of Who Says.

No it's not bulletproof... but that is the only explanation I can think of for two of the songs (WSYCGH and BWC) that are lower and should be easier to sing.

Good chatting with you. Thanks for keeping the posting the set. I'm off for tonight.

Yep, that was an interesting one. Good night.

Prayer now, and I think after that that's it. No new songs besides that snippets, but I like that Jon reintroduced Blood on Blood.

Only come on to check the setlists and I think I've read the same one since the start. I know they have changed it, but it doesn't feel like it.

DestinationJovi 03-05-2017 02:25 PM

Well, there certainly is no need to travel to multiple shows anymore.

Same show over and over.

It was a positive review. Also the first time I've seen anyone mention his vocals. They mentioned he backed down from a note or two, but thought he sounded good overall.

Yes, they did mentioned his vocals, and this one I can appreciate because unlike some people here (not you of course) but some here just go on and criticize his vocals without even being at the show and just criticizing him for the sake of it. At least this reviewer was actually there at the show, he knows how he sounded, I'm sure he had at least decent seats to hear him well enough, he was honest, he didn't say he was perfect, he did took down a note or two in some songs with higher range, but for the reviewer he sang well enough, maybe some here who love to go one about his vocals can maybe take a lesson from this reviewer, you can have some constructive critisism without being arrogant or obnoxious.

People are being constructive, some people are at least. You're not willing to listen to any of them, you just think we're picking on Jon. We're not.
