"Damn that ****ing song is high, high B's. I'm 55 years old your not supposed to be singing high B's". JBJ

Thats what it sounded like he says.

Wow, that's the definition of gutting it out on Always. Smokin' solo by Phil though!

As much as I'd like to agree with that statement, in this case I just can't. IMO, Blood on Blood died a slow excruciating death during the first show in Greenville and any subsequent attempts to revive it in later shows have proven unsuccessful.

RIP

How is shouting good singing technique? This is visually horrible, not the worst rendition of Always I've ever heard but Jon looked as if he would collapse clinging to the mic. I had to stop watching halfway through :(

I would Say this always sits somewhere in between greenville and seoul. It mostly gets saved by the Not so Bad last chorus, though he didn't Go for the high "shine" and "rhyme" - maybe better so, because they would probably have sounded horrible.
And I think it's clear that always has taken his toll, directly afterwards... Perhaps it would have been better to attempt it after prayer, or to drop blood to end the show quicker. Anyways, i agree that it doesn't make sense to play always if it doesn't Sound better than this.

It takes so much out of him, he should sing it last after prayer as a second encore. Given the 3 songs after always are so important to the crowd it'd be best to not ruin them. Plus always is a more than adequate closer.

Wow ... The whole encore sounds absolutely terrible ... It really hurts to see Jon with his eyes closed almost dying behind that mic stand ... They must downtune the songs. Lot's of bands do it, even they have done it (In These Arms and Livin in Sin).

I don't know. I still find his tone better on the last 2 shows, and while this Always isn't perfect (and yes, it has 2-3 parts that aren't too good at all), he really nails some of it. Is it shouting? I'm not so sure, because it sounds really "clean" (no hearable rasp or strain). Is it difficult for him and to watch him suffering? Sure...

And one thing to consider for Blood On Blood: the high notes in the chorus aren't far away from the ones in Always. It's not an easy song to sing following Always, though I admit that on some of it he sounded real terrible. Wanted and Prayer were better...

Maybe Jon should call Tom Kiefer of Cinderella and book an appointment with the Dr that did his vocal chord operation

The problem is we don't know for a fact that the voice issue is vocal chord related. I suspect if that was the reason, he'd have the surgery.

There's lots of good youtube videos of this show already, Cal Vid & Brian James both got lots of good videos, all have been uploaded to the 1st post.

The setlist needed shuffling as Rollercoaster wasn't played in the spot it showed on the picture, most likely was after Sleep When Im Dead
