Official Recordings no longer 1-3 days
I have been fighting all day with OneLive about the Phoenix show. After they finally called me they told me I had to wait another week to a month for it. I then spoke to someone else that said that they may can the whole thing because no shows have been uploaded since Sacramento. They then told me they'd be in touch. Of course, they didn't offer to refund all my pre-orders so just FYI.

Yep!!! I bet the shows aren't selling like they hoped...
- Repeat set-lists - Overpriced - Jon sounds like shit... (They sound better than expected but still aren't what they should be either... If they pulled some rarity shows from back in the day, it might raise some interest) - Repeat set-lists- ***Did I mention that*** It's like buying the same ****ing thing over and over again... As I'm editing these things, even Jon's speeches are identical... They never ****ing do anything right.... Even with Sons Of Beaches!!! They could have reached a little deeper in the vault and included In America, or a Soundboard version of Cadillac Man!!! Nothing to raise interest for diehards... OWN Live sucked, The Box-Set could have been better if they reached a little further back (hardly anything from the 80s).. TLFR was a disaster... A real acoustic album as intended would have been perfect... Whoever has been running Bon Jovi management for the past 20 years should be fired... The only great decision made was to swap the 80's live album for Blaze & Stranger!!! We ended up getting most of the tracks anyway!!!! Jon should have recorded Blood On The Bricks too... |
I just spoke to someone pretty official and he said that they have been having major technical difficulties since San Jose and that it may be a while if at all.
|
Ah crap - have been looking forward to these.
|
The idea is still salvageable...go back into the vault and put old shows up for sale. Most bands/singers get the recording of every show they do. It can't be that difficult to release them online. Jon is a smart guy, but he sometimes misses the most obvious things...

Yup.. if Jon wants the cash to keep flowing, they could probably make a fair amount putting old shows up for sale for the older fans... even myself being a younger fan, I would definitely be into the idea of having soundboard shows from the 80's and 90's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I'd be all over the Crush tour and Bounce tour shows, that's when I was getting into Bon Jovi. I'd love to have a full soundboard of the Anaheim 2003 show and that absolute killer version of Keep The Faith.

What major technical difficulties would prevent the release of ANY more shows? Makes no sense. I was looking forward to the Phoenix recording and a somewhat improved Blood On Blood.

While they may not sell well, I don't think they were supposed to do so. It's a product for the most hardcore fans/collectors, which off course there are very few for any ban. Perhaps they were expecting more sales from people like us (diehards, but not over obsessed with having everything)?
I would be however surprised if they stopped doing this, as it is a pretty cheap product to make - they already record every show. And if they want to cut down all costs, they could always stopped doing pitch corrections for Jon's voice :D |
I'd bet it has to do with Jon's voice. I don't think he expected it to be this bad at this stage of the tour.
|
It's mainly designed for people who are at the show rather than nutters like us, although it would help it tick along with the extra purchases of multiple shows. People love a memento of the show they've been to. I'd rather have a decent bootleg of, say, Coventry 2006, than the Hammersmith Odeon show as I was there.
Unfortunately they are a day late and a dollar short on the idea, which would have been amazing on any other tour except this one with a ridiculously static setlist and Jon's vocal issues. I can only assume they are struggling to make Jon sound bearable as there should still be even a few hundred at each show who'd want the show- although they should have sold it in a ticket bundle, rather than wanting people to pay for it afterwards. |
we should give a new name to the tour. "This Shame is not for sale".
If they are not going to sell more concerts because of jonīs voice... why to continue with the tour? itīs a pitty when I listen to the concerts and they play like a cheap cover band... Bon Jovi is one of the greatest bands of the history... why are you doing this?? |
So this means Richie has escaped the sinking ship?!
|
I'd rather they release downloads of when they were at their peak. I have no interest at all in buying any of this tours shows

Jon's previous contract with the record company didn't allow him to sell live recordings which is why we've not seen them until this tour. It's quite possible that that clause still stands regarding older recordings so we might never see them, although I hope I'm wrong.

If you want people to let it go, stop comparing the two.

I referred to the comment just above my post.

Just wanted to give an update. I got a call earlier stating " We are working on fixing the issues with San Jose, Phoenix and San Diego during the break and I was GUARANTEED Phoenix would be available later tonight or Friday Night.

They should have just gone with NUGS from the start and none of this would happen.
|
So unfortunate that Jon has done some of his best writing in years, talks about a rebirth of the band, they all seem energized and have finally put the Richie thing behind them, they're releasing soundboards of EVERY friggin' show, and Jon is at less than his best. Man, this could have been special.

This is all one big scam and I hope to god that they realize that NUGS is the better option. |

If they aren't providing the product, how can they justify not refunding your money? Are they telling you they're still working on them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That is so disheartening :( I also have dealt with Nugs for years and have never had a problem with it.
I hope they actually come through with the shows if they won't refund your money. |

The Phoenix show sounds incredible... They definitely changed the mix from the others and possibly auto tuned Jon even more... Although he doesn't sound robotic so I don't know what they did to improve his vocals.... cutting edge technology... Looking forward to the next ones... major improvement...
