Jungle screams
 

I'm curious, when did Jon stop doing the jungle screams in Keep The Faith? The latest video I found was Amsterdam in 2008 when he did Sympathy and the screams.


I doubt we'll ever hear the jungle version again. I can't imagine him being able to do that nowadays.

I think he could still do it, as being able to scream high doesn't mean you're able to carry a tune at the same range, or the other way around. For example, my vocal comfort zone goes off at Bb4 (same as Jon's), but I can still howl high as hell.

I just don't think Jon has the balls to try them anymore. It would be awesome if he at least attempted them.

He'd probably really mess his voice up if he tried

Agreed. It's not a vocal issue, it's a balls issue.

Plenty of singers with shot voices can still scream very well - Roger Daltery, David Coverdale. Jon screamed quite a bit in 2003 (when his voice was shit), but didn't in 2010-2011.
