My It's My Life Remix
I need a fan opinion....
Part of my sickness is the fact that I like to make my own edits. I usually take a video version, because those are sometimes somewhat different to begin with and then just add my own thing... Example, I added the drum into from the demo to Because We Can because the album version didn't have it.. Or I took the 'look out' from one of the live versions and added it to the We Don't Run Studio version... Now, I'm adding in the 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, from the IML Demo snippet. Which one does it sound more fitting with? The Album Version or the Video Version? https://mega.nz/#!51wBwSLI!u67MgooC7...RN1kh7PEsyHXKQ |
Great idea! I liked the sample of the album version more! Basically, the video version is the same with the background noise, so there isn't something interesting to add in the album version! If you finish the edits and want to share, a pm would be very appreciated!
Another idea to experiment with: Add the unplugged chorus of demo HAND on the original version, right after the solo! |
Hmm, not a bad idea, but it's too noticeable. You'd need to isolate the vocals more and blend it with the original fading guitar (?). Or is this just a rought take?
To answer your question: I'd go with the album version. What's the point with the video version anyway? Without the video, the car noises, etc. are just distracting, and with the video you'd have to edit that as well to have Jon do the "Yeah yeah yeah"s... |

I've fiddled around a bit with it, this is what I've come up with so far (not perfect, but listenable): https://we.tl/NBGA3NY6Hx |
