Getting back to Phil....when I first heard album I was amazed how underused he was.
Devil needs a huge solo but don't have one for example.
My main issue with new album is that the guitars aren't as prominent as I thought they would be and Phil only plays on 4 songs.

Do forgive if this has already been noticed, i couldn't find in the 30 pages...But at the 4:13 mark when Jon realizes somethings not right and points to Dave who's not playing obviously, you can also see Tico has completely stopped also. Watched the video dozens of times and just saw it. Then at the 4:19 mark clearly he can be seen and heard start hitting the drums again as if he figured out what was happening and tried to match the track blaring. To me this is evidence they're all playing and singing and it Actually was a big O'l goof on someones part...Who's probably now has his "strong hands on the unemployment line"

Nooooooooo!
That's not what happened. Stop overthinking it. They're are playing the song as usual.

Look at this video I posted (It has the audio from other show of the tour) so you can see what the band is really playing:

In that moment you point, Tico is only keeping the beat with the... charles I think? (I don't know well the drum parts xD) so he's not using his hands. And the same with David, in that part he doesn't have to play.

Until they turned it off.

What he said. A lot of bands like BJ use backing tracks ALONG with live playing and that includes vocals.

It's just strange they'd use a pre recorded vocal for the bridge part..

Wait, what?

Are you saying the first mistake happens because another backing track also gets triggered where it shouldn't? Are there two backing tracks then, the studio one which shouldn't be there and another (I guess live track) to add more punch to the bridge?

I hear the same studio track playing until the end, only it skips, but it's the same all the time, right? The delay between what they are playing live and the track we hear seems to stay the same since the moment the studio track goes off sync til the end.

I also don't see them scrambling to put the song together again like many people who don't believe Matt are saying. I guess it's possible they knew there was something wrong going on, hence the finger pointing, but the fact that they keep playing the same reinforces the theory that they are hearing the right thing (their live playing). It' really confusing

No, we're talking about a different song (Prayer) at a different show (Osaka 2006 I believe it was).

They're talking about another performance, I think one from 2006 of living on a prayer.

Oh.. ok, I see, thanks! I thought I was going crazy, I just suck at reading comprehension with little caffeine in my system

I'm kinda wary of defending Matt, but the arguments people are using (not here eh) are incredibly far-fetched. I should stop listening, I'm starting to hear things that don't exist

BTW this show is available... has anybody tried to buy it to see how THINFS really sounded?
