Uncasville is out and Jon IS singing

The show from Mohegan came out a little bit ago and Jon is absolutely not lip syncing THINFS.

Kathleen 04-07-2017 12:38 AM

Correct - I have a copy. But I was there and I could tell he wasn't lip syncing then.

jovifan85 04-07-2017 12:56 AM

Jon, Wouldn't cheat his fans and here is the proof! ( not that I doubted Jon)

Even LOAP, High Part IS Sung as seen in Pittsburgh with Jon's bad cold/throat. No Lip Synching there!

This THINFS Tour, hasn't been a disaster for me, YES, Jon can't sing like in his youth, but that doesn't mean he should retire just yet (for me anyway)

Captain_jovi 04-07-2017 01:05 AM

I'm still hearing the backing track for the part before the solo.

I think he is singing on top, as you can hear his bad voice! I apologise if I am mishearing!

If I were Jon, after all the complaining, griping, questioning of his integrity and accusations made by the press and the media, I *would* tell the world to f off, draw a few million out of my bank account, roll around in it, and take it easy for the rest of my life. But Jon is probably a nicer, more loving, people-pleasing person than I am. I know he is. He builds homes for the homeless and feeds the hungry. I say people suck; let me help out the homeless and hungry cats. It's actually one thing I admire about him. He cares about humanity and doing the right thing for the most people.

I admire Jon after seeing him perform in Pittsburgh unwell. Not many would do that!

Could he had postponed? Perhaps? But he didn't want to let down his fans.

I would be shocked if he retired after the tour! I am probably in the minority here! But I want Jon to continue after this Tour!

Hehe. Definitely!
I'm glad he isn't though

Jon's not going anywhere. If anything, he's probably realizing the limitations of his voice as he ages and plays all these shows. Like any other human being, he will adapt and prepare a set-list that can work within his limitations.

was listening to the soundboard even necessary?
I can't believe people are still doubting if it was lipsync -.-

It's because Jon was too low in the mix, at least for the audience. I just hope it gets uploaded so we can get the truth behind Lipsyncgate.

Or it was mixed in from another show :).

That was exactly my first thought, how would we know it's not from another show anyway? it's not going to convince people who believe he was lipsyncing..

And surprisingly enough, that's what they are saying :P

Not in the soundboard mix

steel_horse75 04-07-2017 03:31 PM

Someone better tell Eddie Trunk as he has accused JBJ of miming

As I said above, the existence of this recording is not convincing the naysayers.

Those tracks never are in the SBD mix. They're only audible via the PA of the arena.

I have all 22 soundboards released so far in FLAC. I have compared THINFS from each one of them in my home studio. It's not mixed in from another show and when Shanks starts the riff to begin the song you can clearly hear that the studio version was accidentally triggered and you can also hear it (if you listen through headphones) through the PA during the more quieter parts. But again, Jon is singing.

I know what we all mean by SBD, but isn't the soundboard the mixing desk or what it's called, and all of that/which goes to the PA? Or is it just the band mix which then goes to the desk and is combined with the backing tracks there and sent to the PA?
