I know that the shows are still enjoyable and when you're there blablabla, but this is the most boring tour ever.

I think most are in agreement about the set-lists needing change... which has nothing to do with being there in person...

I don't like it either but it's the setlist that could be expected. Especially after Jon's illness-break.
Two changes during the encore is actually more than I expected.

Yup. It's a terrible tour overall (in every aspect imaginable), but once you adjust your expectations, this set with this encore was not bad at all.

Can't wait to watch Always and criticize the crap out of Jon's performance!

Thanks!

Well, this was almost OK-ish! Obviously, a complete shoutfest in attempt to reach the high notes at any cost, which is once again, does his voice no good long term, but he is an idiot in that sense, so what else is new. At least, he could actually touch the right key this time.

Somewhere in the middle between Greenville and LA.

Still, can't understand why he doesn't try more easier ballads - IBTFY or BOR, who are almost as massive and would get the same reaction.

He did it. HE F***ING DID IT!!!!!

How the hell is it possible that Jon can hit the notes on Always, but not on Who Says You Can't Go Home and Captain Crash? I have no idea. All I know is that Jon hasn't sounded this good on Always since April 2013.

The same way it is possible for you to sprint at your maximum speed for 100 meters, but you can only run much slower during the 90-minute soccer match. He goes for Always like his life depends on it.

After Greenville (which had a much better Always) I called this Jon at 120% non-sustainable effort and off course I was right, as always (end of jerk off).

Now I'm confused. You've been saying all along that the sets need change, but when you're there you enjoy the show. And now setlists and you being there don't have anything in commom ?

When I say this tour is a complete bore, I'm not talking about setlists alone, but the whole thing. Sure, the shows are still enjoyable, but just a few years ago the shows were not only enjoyable, but something you'd talk about for days and keep revisiting it (hence the show threads reaching almost 800 replies, as Lisbon 2011). Now the feeling I get from the members who post reviews is: it was nice, had great fun, let me get back to work. And that's it. Even at the start of the dreadful 2013 tour we had some good material to discuss here. Now, the WOW moment is Jon going into the crowd.

I'm really amazed as how some people here adjust their level of criticism as this band becomes more and more just a fading shadow of what it was just a few yars ago. (Cleveland 2013 was awesome).

He shouted most of the high parts. Even though it was better than recent performances, it still a pretty bad one. I still don't get why he doesn't play a downtuned acoustic version of this song.

Can you show me the version you're hearing?:confused:

Phil KILLED that ending solo though. So. good.

The average casual fan/person could either only afford one night or only be able to attend one night so it's a no brainier for the set lists to be similar. The majority of BJ fans that attend these shows are not the type people on Jovitalk. More than likely the majority of people at these shows only go to one Jovi show when it rolls into their city.
