What are your 3 most listened-to albums?
Just throwing something out there to talk about....
Mine are New Jersey, Blaze of Glory, and Keep the Faith. I liked the band prior to New Jersey, but my dad wouldn't let me buy music until around that time. I actually bought NJ and SWW on the same day. I used to walk around our land a lot as a teenager and I played NJ nonstop. You know how cassettes used to be clear with a little strip of plastic inside? I listened to NJ so much that the cassette wheels actually wore through the plastic! Blaze came out the year I turned 15 and got my driver's license. So, not only did I listen to it constantly while walking, I also listened to it when I was driving. It's basically the same story with KTF. I was young when it came out and I had free time to walk a lot or drive wherever. Also, these are three albums that I actually like all the songs on them. That made me want to listen to them often too. Of course, I listened to other artists to, but those three albums ruled my world in that time frame. |
New Jersey.
Keep The Faith. These Days. Notable mentions; Master Of Puppets. Countdown To Extinction Nevernind 1986-1995 had my favourite collection of albums by a country mile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Good question. As I tend to only listen to the latest album for a while once it's out, I'd probably get equal plays out of all of them (yes, even WAN ;-)).
Only notable exceptions could be Keep The Faith, as that was my first album, and quite like you, I was 16 at the time and couldn't stop listening to what I just discovered, and These Days, as I hold a special emotional connection to that one, because of the things I was going through at the time. |
My top 3 are These Days, Have a Nice Day, and The Circle.
The Circle: "Superman Tonight" is the first song that really turned me on to Bon Jovi (I am a younger fan, currently a university student), and in my opinion the songs flow between one another more smoothly than every other album they released. Have a Nice Day: My three all-time favorite Bon Jovi songs, "Welcome to Wherever You Are", "Bells of Freedom", and "These Open Arms", are all on this album. These Days: There's just something amazing about this album that none of their other albums have. Maybe it's the deeper lyrics? Or maybe it's because some of Jon's best vocals can be found on this album? |
New Jersey, Slippery When Wet, Blaze/Stranger
Those are the ones I grew up with...and was the biggest fan in 1990-1991 when solo albums came. |
New Jersey, These Days and Destination Anywhere
|
Slippery When Wet, Keep the Faith, New Jersey.
The best albums by the band. Hysteria by Def Leppard would be up there too if we aren't excluding other artists. |
Slippery
New Jersey Keep The Faith |
These Days, Lost Highway, The Circle (which I'm not a big fan of, but it was released at the height of my fandom, so I listened to it daily).
As for other artists: Rumours (Fleetwood Mac), Fearless (Taylor Swift), Chinese Democracy (GNR; again, not a huge fan, but same situation as with The Circle) and then a dozen more, but these were the first 3 to come to my mind. |
New Jersey, These Days, Bounce
