Jon's post-2k pronunciation REALLY pisses me off...
 

It's freaking annoying that Jon can't even pronounce simple words on basically any of the songs anymore, let alone them being high- or low-pitched. Here are some examples of his unique "alternate lyrics":

"They say we gotta haad on (sometimes replaced by "haan aan") to what we've got..."

"Owww, weeaaffii deeaa... teemaahii, weemeekidaa sweehaa..." (the chorus of Prayer)

"I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ri-hi-hide, wanted dead or al-lyeeeve..." (sometimes replaced by "Haam a cowboy, on a STEELLOASE AYYAAD, wanted dead or hallaave...")

"Weewaasaayaa, wanfaraa enaafaawan, jadashaa azzarivaas gaanaaraan..." (the pre-chorus of BOB)

"Heedeeswandeen aahaad onto, degetsmee threyy deenaat, heengoona dowaadaa doonwaan to, haamgoona leemaa life..." (the chorus of HAND)

"Haawaauundee weeuuwee aabee, hoeewee UUUUUWEEDAAAAAN..." (the 2nd bridge of IBTFY)

"Haaneenoo needoos to be geeveemee a thrill, haaneenoo hanestesia hoo aanaas to bring a piil, haagaada duudaadaan addiction daadooseen leave a track, haagaada jones for your affection like a monkey on my back, deeheenoo paramedics daasee maahaad attack weeuunee..." (the 2nd verse of Bad Medicine)

"Heeweesteen saabaasaiiid, deezaa chance weegeebaiii, haanaanoo you'll live in maahaa (sometimes replaced by "maa-aa") teedeedee Iyyee diyyeee..." (the 2nd pre-chorus of BTBMB)

Reading this made me feel like I was having a stroke.

Back in the 80s and 90s when I was predicting the future, I never seen this Jon coming... The way Metallica has aged aka James Hetfield is how I predicted Jon to have aged... Jons music, his personality, his image is a total 360 of what he once was... With that said, I still like parts of it and there are parts that shine but there are some things that are ****ing annoying of which one is what you mentioned above...

The hair also annoys me... Long gray hair doesn't work... If he wants to sport grey hair that's fine but wear it right... Again like Hetfield... But there are times when Jon looks ****ing homeless...

I don't know if I sang some of these songs for 30+ years I'd be prone to the lazy pronunciation too!

Ask united17. You guys are both on the same level of spending time with this pronounciation stuff.

I'm still surprised how much a guy can get hung up on an issue like Jon's hair. Who gives a shit? I want the music to be great, the rest I don't care about.

I'm doing that on purpose as part of my dry humor... Although image is part of an artist...

I've really been on a Coldplay kick lately and really digging their newer music...

I really like the production on Something Just Like This and what they did with Chainsmokers... I was zoning into Chris Martin's vocals on this song are realized that this is definitely something in Jon's range and could totally see him pulling off a vocal like this in the studio... I guess that's why I'm really digging Jon's newer music like Labor of Love and Teardrop. Jon could pull off some radio style modern hits (if given the airplay) with his current vocal state but he really needs the right productions and sounds. He needs to get rid of Shanks or find someone to co-produce with. I think there is some positive parts of Shank's style but he also hurts Jon in some areas as well.. They really need someone else to balance it all out...

(sorry if this is choppy. I had to rush through this post)

I'm losing hope Jon will ever "get rid of" Shanks. They're "joined at the hip" and besides, Jon hates changes.

So he and we are basically stuck.
