I think Jon has been smart.
He is 55, he is trying to preserve what vocal cords he has. And there are fans, asking Matt Bongiovi when or if Bon Jovi will tour again in 2017 after September. They could do, though I expect Bon Jovi to resume Touring in 2018. Again, Jon is going to be selective of the countries/places he Tours, I guess, Lisbon/Madrid, London, Manchester, Dublin, Cologne/Munich, Copenhagen, Zurich, Vienna, Athens and Milan are perhaps where Bon Jovi may tour if the venues are available and they sell enough tickets. It's just how many other places and countries Jon wants to go to as well. Israel, I guess is one Bon Jovi would like to go again if they can. And Asia again, Japan perhaps? And Australia? Why less shows? To perserve any vocals Jon has left, and they are all getting older. Hopefully, the majority of fans understand this. One thing is for certain, Bon Jovi are not going to tour ever again like they used to. |

Yup, he needs to preserve his vocal cords and I'm glad to see him doing just that by no extensive touring. Makes me so sad, though, because I'm his age! Getting older is no fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Jon, has publicly stated he doesn't want to continue in his mid 60's or when he's 70. So I appreciate despite Jon's voice what Bon Jovi will make till then. And of course fans will always compare SWW-TD, to whatever the band makes till the band retires. Unfair, as Jon was younger and his voice was at it's peak, doesn't neccessarily mean every album will or has been bad, HAND, and THINFS are good albums to me. It's a matter of opinion. |
If you were Jon, why would you keep touring when the majority of fan feedback is consistent complaining that everything sucks? "That show sucked! Was I there? No. But it sucked anyway." "These recordings suck."
If Jon is aware of what is being said on the internet, why would he put forth the effort he does every night? I'm certainly not as nice as he is, but I'd tell the world to f off, put my achy feet up, and enjoy my millions. |

I agree, Jon DOESN'T have to continue but I am GLAD he does, despite his vocals not as good as they were, I still enjoy Bon Jovi's Music. |

I also still enjoy the music despite his voice change. As I shuffle through songs, I tend to think, wow, he can really sound different and that takes talent instead of thinking it's because of age or vocal issues. More of like a reinvention with each album, if that makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Jon has changed the type of Music he now makes, due to age but also perspective. His voice is a liability, on the old stuff, but an asset as he can sound different now, compared when he was younger and screaming and hitting the high notes all the time. That couldn't go on forever, even if he didn't damage his voice, it's about finding a medium and Jon has found that. From time to time he can still hit a high note, see LYHOM, in Toronto 2017, AMAZING for his age, but he can't sustain that for 12 songs on a album, or doing that all the time live, as he will have no vocals left. Hence, what we see in reduced tours, and omitting certains songs on tours, to help preserve what he has left. Interesting if we ever see "Blaze of Glory" ever again, certainly that hasn't been sung since 2011, but I am not ruling it out, as I didn't expect we see "Always" again. |

Oh come on guys. He tours less because people give less of a shit about them. If he could get away with 4 shows a week forever, he would.
