Slippery When Wet Surround Sound
Tonight, because of the 31st anniversary of the SWW release,I decided to listen to the 2005 dual disc version.
I do think I didnt listen to the extended versions on the dvd side since 2005. Does anybody knows how can I transfer this versions to my mobile so I can listen to it more often? Or,maybe if I can dowload those versiones somewhere. |
Download a DVD audio extractor program to your computer.

I recommend ripping the audio in a format that supports 5.1 channels like ogg. If you have an Android phone you shouldn't have any issues playing it. |
DVD Audio Extractor is great. I've been using it for years. Thanks to some help from this thread, I was able to downmix the 5.1 to stereo so I could make an Audio CD.
https://drycounty.com/jovitalk/bon-j...k-band-t50123/ The results were decent but Jon's vocals are too high in the mix and it almost drowned the music out. I should probably take the center channel to Audacity to lower the volume a bit to make a better version. I've had the DualDisc since not long after it came out but have hardly touched it. |
Hey,thank you for all your answers.
Im not good at computers but Ill try with that tutorial link. Ill let you know if I manage to get it. Thankx again. |
Some are worth it. Without Love is a bit longer and sounds better than the album version. The rest are simply different sounding. The end of Bad Name sucks. The beginning and end of Prayer is useless.

The end of Raise Your Hands was cut from the original song and that was cool... but adding additional talk box sounds or birds chirping that were recently recorded to Bruce Fairbairn's brilliant production just doesn't work... I can make better edits mixing two sources though Audacity... Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk |

That's a tough one with NSG... That's a nice little addition... unnecessary but still nice... not sure about that one Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk |
It just stands to reason that if the outro to Raise Your Hands is old, the rest of the additions were from the original masters as well. Why tack on additional guitars, sound effects, intros and outros decades later?
