A bunch of people on twitter has stated it. But of course we can't be sure until we hear a clip.

Bed of Roses now

Is Roses a rarity nowadays?

Well yeah, only played once since 2013 at the warm up show two weeks ago. Don't think anyone thought the song would ever be played again considering Jons voice.

It was played at that one-off show a few weeks ago, but other than that it didn't appear on any setlist of this tour.

Kathleen 09-15-2017 03:59 AM

Holy crap - I gotta hear some of this. Wild in the Streets? Yikes

Gregsynthbootlegs 09-15-2017 04:07 AM

Wow - listening to Runaway. So breathless/weak and out of key.

LeaJovi 09-15-2017 04:09 AM

Apparently he just sang the chorus of Bed of Roses in Spanish

Yikes.. I feel like this is one of the easier songs to sing for him nowadays

Still no video of it, only people on twitter claiming it so don't start the celebrating just yet! ;)

Thomas S 09-15-2017 04:52 AM

According to twitter, Lay Your Hands On Me, Captain Crash, Who Says, God Bless This Mess, and It's My Life have all been played.

Rdkopper 09-15-2017 05:00 AM

This House and Raise Your Hands (skips most of the song but you get the gist)
https://www.pscp.tv/w/1YpJkmYAmMmKj?q=bon+jovi

A lot of cover ups by backing vocals but not horrible...

Rdkopper 09-15-2017 05:02 AM

Its weird... Some parts of songs sound okay but then Jon will just fall flat...

Do we have any confirmation as to the full set (and whether or not Wild in the Streets was played)? I'm not sure I trust that setlist that someone posted earlier as I have never seen an incorrect date on one of those before, and some of the abbreviations don't match up with previous printed setlists ("I'll Be There For You" is usually shortened to "There For You", "Keep the Faith" is usually shortened to "Faith", and "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" is usually shortened to "Sleep", if memory serves me correctly). Although the few videos that we have so far seem to line up with it.

Do you mean "this is my HOAAMETOAAAUUUAAAN..."? I suppose Jon held back and sang it like he did here:

BJFan99 09-15-2017 07:07 AM

I'll Be There For You has definitely been played, as someone posted a video of it on Facebook.

It sounded pretty similar to the Endicott version, and yes, Jon had a death grip with the mic stand throughout the song - meaning that he still didn't play the guitar during it. The guy is clearly suffering from serious confidence issues regarding his voice and performing abilities, even though some of you have suggested that it may not be the case. It obviously is. How the hell Jon still hasn't been able to get rid of the stress caused (mostly) by the BWC tour is beyond me. I mean, it's been more than four years since Richie left. Right now, it seems like poor Jonny has basically nothing left anymore...

BJFan99 09-15-2017 09:34 AM

Here's the full set, judging by setlist.fm:

1. This House Is Not For Sale
2. Raise Your Hands
3. Knockout
4. Bad Name
5. Born To Be My Baby
6. Lost Highway
7. Born To Follow
8. Sleep
9. Runaway
10. We Don't Run
11. Saturday Night (acoustic)
12. Bed Of Roses
13. It's My Life
14. Who Says
15. God Bless This Mess
16. Wanted
17. Lay Your Hands On Me
18. Have A Nice Day
19. Captain Crash
20. Bad Medicine

Encore:

21. In These Arms
22. I'll Be There For You
23. Prayer

Encore 2:

24. These Days
25. Keep The Faith

Definitely the best set of the tour - swap Crash for Always and it would be perfect. However, judging by the video snippets we've gotten from the show so far, I don't know if I would've even wanted to hear it...

PS. WTF - 25 SONGS AND TWO ENCORES?????

Is Jon still alive?

kleman 09-15-2017 09:47 AM

I think Jon sound just ok.

Jon sounds quite decent,he suffers on the higher parts, but its his best one since 2013
Also,the band sounds very rehearsed.
It seems it was a great show

Jayster 09-15-2017 11:34 AM

I've always thought finishing with These Days and Keep the faith would be great.

BOR (confirmed chorus in Spanish, I guess, because I couldn't understand a word, jk it's so cool that he made the effort)
Edit: who is this person what has he done with our dear old whispery Jon?

bonjovi90 09-15-2017 11:53 AM

Was about to post the same video. Though it was a shoutfest in parts, the overall tone was much better and the whispering was much less. For the first time in a long time it at least sounded like Jon.

I don't know about the rest of the setlist but here he sounded like his old self for the most part. Both BOR and IBTFY were fantastic. The sound was top notch, it's a shame their stadium days are numbered. This was waaaaaay better than the arena shows

Amazing 1st Verse of Wanted .. Jon sounds really good for a performance in 2017

Thinny 09-15-2017 12:09 PM

Definitely hear an improvement in Jon's overall voice, particularly in Bed Of Roses. I wouldn't say he's quite back to 2013 standards though, and the lack of movement is still bothering me...

symbeline 09-15-2017 12:26 PM

Considering how shit he's been sounding since mid-2013, this is one hell of a vocal improvement for a stadium show. You can at least hear him and he's singing not shouting which I wasn't expecting at all tbh.

I'm at work so I'm not watching the videos to see if he's still glued to the spot (he is, I'm sure) so I'm not going to say "OMG Jon is back!!!!!!1!". But for an average fan this is really really good and average fans fill stadiums... Hell, the first leg was pretty successful and most of the fans were gushing about the shows on Twitter and Facebook. We are the only grouchy ones ranting and raving ;)

nikos greece 09-15-2017 12:27 PM

the excitement, strength and inspiration bon jovi give to me is beyond words...i may not particularly like the current line up/performances etc still sth is there...some magic imo...
i think there is a small improvement having listened to 3-4 videos...i hope it keeps on. Richie is missed though

WTF????? I'd easily believe it if someone told me the first verse was edited in from a 2011 show! Jon sounds absolutely incredible for '17!

symbeline 09-15-2017 12:52 PM

Conspiracy theory: they can't do lots of shows because their new sound system includes state-of-the-art mics with the best built-in autotune, and on top of being super expensive equipment they can't risk many people knowing their sekrit.

Only a few selected ones know it, so they can only book dates when their "top secret" team is available. Oh and they are sworn to secrecy and face a lifetime of listening to Jon's raw, unadulterated voice serenading them under their balcony every Friday at midnight in case they fail to comply

:p

The band doesn't use a pitch-correcting device of any kind while performing live (save for Jon's pre-recorded "livin' on a praaayyyeeer..."). It's clear that the performances aren't auto-tuned, as every now and then Jon hits a bum note (sometimes a more subtle and sometimes a more audible one) and it wouldn't be heard at all if he used autotune. His voice has just improved - from an unbearable level to an average one.

Thomas S 09-15-2017 01:18 PM

Awesome show overall. Great setlist and Jon's singing was (in places) pretty f&#$@!g amazing.

It was an improvement, but let's not get carried away. Still average at best for most parts.
