Can't stand Queen or Zeppelin. There, I said it. *ducksforcover*

I keep checking this thread thinking there's been some development or actual analysis of the new song. Instead we're sh*tting on Queen, Zeppelin and the Stones - all bands more critically acclaimed and influential than Jovi. Let's just be grateful that our band is being accepted, and in theory immortalised by their induction, into the Rn'R Hall with other greats.

As for WWWU; it's about as good as anything on THINFS - barring BAT and DITT imo. The solo is a typical '10s style Jovi solo - comparable to that in Knockout. Born Again Tomorrow and All Hail The King had the most interesting guitar work in THINFS, so I hope for more in that vein for Walls. There is a somewhat Springsteen-esque air about the song. That xylophone or glockenspiel during the "woooh oh oooh oh's" at the end are a nice touch. Vocally, it sounds a little more assured than 2016 Jon. I'd just wished they'd taken advantage of the slight improvement in his upper range from the SA tour onwards. Either way, I'm pretty content with the song and keep returning to it - singing along. Bon Jovi were never really a heavy band, so at this point in their career, if there's a good dose of sincerity and a decent hook then I'm in.

But let's hope "Walls" IS about the political situation and not referencing the production style ;)

The fact that the song has premiered on radio 10 days ago and is still not yet on Spotify (or anywhere else as a single) is an embarrassment!

No it's not. It got played on Stern with a request from the label not to play the whole thing, it's a premiere but not the one the label had part of the release schedule.

I reckon it will go live on iTunes the same day that the video premiers?

But the label lives in which world??? C'mon, the song is already on youtube, a lot of views...smart move: give the song in a high quality or let us listen to it in a poor quality and when it gets release...meh.

I don't get this.

We got it earlier than else were supposed to. Everyone is forgetting that and it just sounds spoiled that we are mad at the label for not changing everything to fit that. I'm really thinking they have promotions lined up to capitalize on the Rock Hall Induction.

They should not have allowed to have that premiere then.

They weren't allowed. Howard said that he was told by the label he can't play it but Jon said, screw it play it anyway....
