Doesn't sound rock to me... I can't even hear the guitars... I only hear Jon's vocals, the drums and the keys are way too high in the mix again.

I wouldn't say ripping off but if there was one artist's sound they're trying to emulate 100 percent yes.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for ditching the horrible and outdated U2/Coldplay sound. Now that U2 is finally uncool, Jon needs a new critical acclaimed style to latch onto. But this is too modern for a band with that kind of trajectory. If Jon thinks he can win the young crowd at this point of the game he's in for a big shock.

I don't mind this musical 180 for a one-off song, like they did with BAT. I just don't think it'll work for a whole album

Haha no I mean to me ripping off means taking a specific song and making it sounds like that. The band has been guilty of that in the past. I don't know Imagine Dragons well enough to know if they have a song that sounds exactly like this. I get the vibe of that band for sure.

I listened to the sample... I'm sorry to say that but I'm disappointed :( But well, it's just me, my personal opinion. I somehow stick to their older material anyway... and I've been told WWWU resembles Ed Sheeran's Castle On The Hill. I had a listen and damn, it does! o.O

What happened to Bon Jovi %&*^#? *sigh*

The production reminds me of We Don't Run, so it's not like this is a style they haven't attempted before.

I can actually see this being played on the radio, though. Jon's voice also sounds much better than on (the studio version of) When We Were Us.

Chorus could use a counter melody in the backing harmonies, though. It's rather plain as it is.

Overall, the song is not bad IMO.
