Q: Should fans expect anything in this show that’s different than a typical Bon Jovi concert?

A: We rehearsed a lot of songs that we haven’t played in a long time. So hopefully people will be happy with the song selection that he’s doing.
We should all expect at least one surprise tonight I believe. This current line up of the band has had plenty of time now to learn the deeper album cuts.

I would love to hear Next 100 Years or even Hook Me Up, those are now considered mega rarities. Maybe he will do that acoustic version of I Will Drive You Home?

He won't be able to pull of the chorus of Hook Me Up. It was hard for him in 2003 and now it'll be nearly impossible.

True, but if he can still make attempts at a song like Always, he should be able to sing a song like Hook Me Up. I don't care if it doesn't sound good, I just want them to play rarely played songs again, keep it fresh! Nothing worse than a static, vanilla set list like we got last year, but I get it, the band wasn't prepared, but they learned new songs this time around so I hope they actually make an attempt to play them..

True, I don't like static setlists. But I would love to see them play Blame It On the Love Of Rock N Roll because it's one of my favourites from Keep The Faith. Since the song has a fairly fast tempo it'll probably have to be slowed down so Jon can be able to sing it.

Honestly, I don't think I'll ever forget that moment when the intro to DC started. It was probably the LAST song I could ever expect them to play in Denver. I was with my mom and she didn't know the song whatsoever, and couldn't understand why I was so excited they were playing it.

And Phil X absolutely slayed that solo. I was so impressed.

He should be able to do most of "The Distance" nowadays. 1 half step or a full one (Too many and song will sound a bit too deep).

He can do Bounce also definitely You Had Me From Hello.

He can also definitely do Everyday.

Always is almost certainly going to be played tonight (or in our side of the globe, this morning).

MJB12 03-15-2018 12:27 AM

I've never been one to want the REAL deep cuts at these shows, just because I do enjoy it when at least some people around me in the crowd know the songs. There's enough songs by Bon Jovi that I still haven't seen live that I would die to see - Hey God, I Believe, and as I mentioned before, In These Arms and Always. Full band These Days would be great too (I've seen the Richie solo).

I'm just so excited for this show. Dallas last year was ok, but I was in the back and everyone around me was sitting down. I had half a row to myself to move around and dance, but nobody else seemed to be having a good time.

Gosh, I hope so. Don't really even care how it sounds, just would like to be able to say I've seen it live.

WhamATC 03-15-2018 12:55 AM

Jon usually lowers the song.
If he's gonna play I Believe he should just lower the highest notes (Iiiii believe) in that song.
I can't really imagine I Believe happen due to that.
He should just lower the LOAP high note too just before the solo.

I bet he will play atleast one stadium 2019. More likely Tokyo I bet.

These high notes before the solo have had a playback track for years now.

If you're talking about open air stadiums - they haven't played these in Japan since 1996 and never played outdoors in Tokyo :D

Talkin about indoor ones like Tokyo Dome. I think they might sell good enough or very good for Tokyo Dome.

Zacm95 03-15-2018 01:42 AM

Does anybody know if they are recording this leg of the tour yet?

Zakatar 03-15-2018 02:20 AM

According to a recent post by Phil, someone asked the question about the USB Wristbands... And the answer was "No"

Becky 03-15-2018 02:31 AM

I know Adam is there tonight, but I hope he focuses on enjoying the show instead of his phone.

Yeah - me too. It's been a long time for him. I hope he gets a show good enough to make up for all that time :)

Have a great time! You're seeing them in the city where I first saw them on the Slippery tour! (I lived in Aurora at the time. )

It's my turn on Saturday.

Falco 03-15-2018 04:34 AM

You would think in this day and age with all the technology we'd have more pbp and streams, I've found nothing so far for this show. Was really hoping to follow along....oh well.

Captain_jovi 03-15-2018 04:42 AM

It's 8:42 in Denver right now, reeelax ;)

Falco 03-15-2018 04:44 AM

Show's been going on for almost an hour already though, no?

They usually don't start until 8:45ish. I think most of the shows on past tours hovered around 8:50.

Falco 03-15-2018 04:50 AM

Sorry, had a blonde moment, I forgot they are an hour behind me. Lol.

Hues07 03-15-2018 04:53 AM

Didnt catch the beginning but just found someone on FB with a stream.. Lost Highway now When We were Us...

Lost Highway and Whole lot of Leaving back to back in 2018. This a time songs like that should be swapped with each other if one of them HAS to be played.

I was REALLY hoping WLOL would not be played at nearly every show on this leg... not a terrible song but it always kills the mood when played so early...

This early in the set? Interesting.

Jon is wiped out already. Closing the main set. Wanted and Prayer are next and it's done.

Born to Follow followed by Sleep when I'm dead.

I'm sure people are having a blast but this setlist.....just too much of the same old same old for me.

Sleep When I'm Dead needs to be permanently dropped. I'm so tired of always seeing that song everywhere.
