By the way, I bet he was talking about Amen and ILTT when he said that they're going to "dig deep into the catalogue"... |

I can't believe JBJ still thinks people want to hear that shitbag of a song. |
Its such a bad thing to type stuff about Jon vocals on their fb page.
It might be fun for that moment but not good if you think about the possible consequences. |

Its better to not talk about it at all (Imagine if HoF somehow doesn't notice cause they sit outside the arena.) than to take that risk about his vocals.
If you wanna talk about it then it preferrably should be a place like Jovitalk. Its not actually gonna help talking about it anywhere its not like Jon hears us or reads this or so. The only thing by the Fb page thing your doing is let people know about it and refund their tickets. |
His vocals wont physically improve in terms of range, etc.
He just needs to pronounce words much better while singing. Cause pronunciation has nothing with vocal cords to do except pitch and if the note SOUNDS light, dark or normal (Male A3 vs Female A3 note.) for you. |
I do think some perspective is sometimes a good thing. Remember the setlists from the American tour last year (the default one without any audibles). It pales in comparison to now. From what I've heard Jon, whilst still by no means good, sounds better than I was expecting, especially on Sleep when I'm dead. Hopefully we see some audibles and general variation in the future, but at least for me, this is not a setlist to get annoyed about given the context.

Jon sounded even better Salt Lake 2018 than Denver 2018.
He even moved during IML Salt Lake City 2018. |

I actually don't want Jon to kiss his fans due to possible STD a fan might have.
|
Am I the only one that thinks that they really need to drop BM? I know they're playing it for the casuals but Jon doesn't even try to sing it until the "Something better baby" part. Removing it while touring US is a bad idea though but I think they can do it in Europe if they'll tour there

Listeb to the Salt lake concert 2018. I have heard only around maybe 4 - 7 songs from it.
Sleep, WWWB, WWWU, IML, LH, etc. Those all sounded very good in terms of vocals and better than denver. He almost always moved around on Sleep and IML. Judging from those few songs I bet he sounded pretty good the whole Salt lake concert. I wonder how good the later 2018 shows will be. My opinion about THINFS has always somehow been that moving around on the stage for that song doesnt "fit" the song itself. |
It's good to see Jon moving around the stage during IML. If he doesn't regain least a part of his voice, let's hope he regains his stage presence.
|
One of the reasons he doesn't really slur any of the words on let's say THINFS compared to LOAP is cause I think that jon doesnt think about the past or Richie when singing THINFS which makes him sound so good.
Richie made the talkbox part of LOAP and Jon might be thinking (maybe not actively thinking about it while singing LOAP) about the past, richie, etc which could be the reason he sings LOAP so horribly. But before Richie left 2013 he didnt think about anything like that causing him to sing LOAP very good those years. Think about when someone might stutter words when sad but not stutter at all when in a normal or happy mood. |
IML:
Interestingly, Jon went for the higher notes in "I ain't gonna live forever" each time, something he's rarely done in the past. Not as bad as iHeart and Denver. |

A similar thing always seems to happen on KTF as well - Jon hits the Bb4 on "brokee-EE-EEN like an arrow" with relative ease, but then can't sing the chorus (with the highest notes being A4s, half a step lower than the part mentioned earlier) for shit... |

By the way, does anyone know if Jon did the scream/jungle noise on KTF last night as well?
|
BJFan99, someone asked me what a setlist was. Thats why i did 2 concert setlists with 3 different songs as example.

I can’t be more happy that’s why I’m always laughing ‘cause I told him in Brasil to make jungle noises “more often” and he listened to me |

maybe it was my bad English you get confused |
Yes i didnt understand the question.

Agreed. Not great, but it’s seems like just maybe he had the slightest bit of confidence back in that clip. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
I don't think he'll perform the actual jungle part after KTF solo ever again.
The rapapapapao actually is not really damaging at all if done correctly and if in pure head voice (same way that OW scream is done before ktf solo). The "THERE'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE MAMAAAAAAAAAA" he did is definitely damaging as it's just screaming. |
I already said it in his day, and I bring it back, playing THINFS in its entirety even before releasing the album was a mistake for the new tour.
If Jon had not done those shows so soon, and had waited a few more months to delight us with a special night or secret show in which they play the whole album, this tour would have had the surprises of the new album. You know, there's always been a thrill of wanting to hear some songs from a new album live, Jon killed that feeling with London Palladium, Jersey and NY shows. They could have used the album to change the set list with songs never before played live, damn it, until Bonus tracks, even playing some Burning Bridges songs could be exciting. Only with that, I would have refreshed the setlist enough and would have given the fans some joy. They only played I Got The Girl and These Days. I do not understand why they can not play others like Wild In The Streets, One Wild Night, Everyday, Mistery Train ... and then there are the songs of New Jersey Deluxe, something as simple as a short and acoustic version of Backdoor To Heaven makes the night worthwhile, and then we have the box set 2004, you just have to release a song from that box set that has never been played live, and play the song some times on tour. In short, they could have prepared 10 special songs and play them little by little as the tour develops. However, two years later, we are at the same point. The best set list was that acoustic night where they played I Will Drive You Home, When We Were Beautiful, Living in Sin, Color Me In, Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and Amen. That's sad fuk. That said, nice acoustic intro |

"Live" or "Did" are words not notes.

Honestly, this board is getting even more insane...
Jon sings Prayer so bad because Richie created the talkbox part and he's thinking about Richie!? You don't want Jon to kiss fans because of possible STD!?:mrgreen: I honestly give up... |
Think of how some people stutter words, etc when they are sad.
I allow you, thinny to say your opinion why can i not then say my opinion without being critizised or something. I have read some about singing, etc so i say my opinion (Like everyone else here) on what could be the problem or how that is done, etc. I dont tell the heart surgeon what to do and what to not do if i dont know how to perform a heart surgery (I dont know how to). Jon can kiss the women in the crowd if he wants to but any woman or man can have an STD (You can look completely normal and have an STD). Just saying that there is a risk and if i was a singer or something i wouldn't kiss a stranger i didn't know. Just don't want jon to have a health issue, std or something. |
That acoustic Born to Follow was pretty cool. So much better than the original.
|
We are all absolutely allowed our opinions here, just as I am allowed an opinion on your opinion...
If you can't take critism of your opinons then maybe posting them on the internet is not for you!? Just a thought... |
I wasnt meaning critizism (Very good at taking it actually) but something similar. Don't know another word for something similar. Hard to describe.
Whatever lets just move on and forget it. |
