I'll give Jon one thing, he sounds better on BM tonight than he did in Denver.

so far I liked the end of Born to be my baby -_-, I also liked the end of Who says, It's my life is getting better! -_-, O_O O_O O_O!! That Keep The Faith was kinda different and with jungle noise, the end of Roses was good too.

P.S. I already memorized this main set, if he does the same setlist I'm gonna cry >_< lol

bwehehehe 03-18-2018 07:24 AM

Encore will start in a few.

Main set was exactly the same. Here's hoping we get a different encore opener and not I (Don't) Love This Town for the third time in a row.

Agreed......the end BOR was a bit unusual.

Encore:
Wanted

Zakatar 03-18-2018 07:28 AM

Wanted to open the encore. A bit unusual. Maybe he'll do Always between Wanted and Prayer?

YOVANAfromPeru 03-18-2018 07:32 AM

the best Wanted so far, yeahhh

bwehehehe 03-18-2018 07:33 AM

Prayer next

Zakatar 03-18-2018 07:34 AM

Prayer now. I guess we're getting an even shorter setlist than the last 2 nights, unless they pull out a surprise of some sort as a second encore (perhaps Always or Never Say Goodbye?)

bwehehehe 03-18-2018 07:36 AM

He's out of the mic stand.

yeah, that can mean that's it or another song...

kenobi_on_a_prayer 03-18-2018 07:37 AM

Well we didn't get I Love This Town. :D

EDIT: Actually, I shouldn't count chickens yet. They finished the last show of the Aust tour with ILTT in 2013.

YOVANAfromPeru 03-18-2018 07:41 AM

I want a picture of that JBJ signature jump! -_-

Zakatar 03-18-2018 07:45 AM

I guess it's over now, unless the person streaming left early before a possible 2nd encore.

YOVANAfromPeru 03-18-2018 07:49 AM

I lost my live stream as well, I think that's it

conclusion: JBJ is crazy!

>_< lol

Thomas S 03-18-2018 08:25 AM

As much as I dislike Amen, Jon's doing a great job with it. It's also very cool how he's going out into the crowd for the ballads.

BJFan99 03-18-2018 09:42 AM

Again, it's f***ing cool that Jon is screaming on KTF again!

Overall, seems like he sounded much better (and STRONGER) at this show than in Denver or SCL. Holy crap, Roses was even good (by post-mid-'13 standards of course)! Have I completely lost my mind or did Jon really bring back the rasp on the last chorus? :D And there was no ILTT...

There seems to still be some hope.

Rdkopper 03-18-2018 10:27 AM

So I take it that every concert thread going forward is going to all be about JBJ's vocals? Hey, it's only natural, I get it but man...

"He sounded good on this one" "He sounded like shit on that one" "He dodged a note on this one" "He rasped on that one" "It's 2013 again" "There is hope" "He needs to retire" "Wait, there is hope" "No, his legacy is ruined" "Wait, no there is hope after all" "He just needs to retire this song" "No wait again, there is hope again" "Is it 2010 again?" "He's Back!"

Does anyone know the definition of Insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same result every time!!! Think about it...

Prayer. That is a real improvement.
We get the old final with o o o oooohhh with the crowd.
A light in the dark

And he almost hits the high note before the solo!

Definitely better than most of last year's shows.

PS. What a huge relief it is to see the old frontman back! I mean, he's moving again like he used to.

Seems like the SA leg brought back his confidence as a performer.

WhamATC 03-18-2018 12:02 PM

I hope Richie is never brought back into Bon Jovi even if Richie wants to. (The new Bon Jovi seems better anyways.)

I would never risk wanting to see Bon Jovi 2013 - 2017 again.

The way i saw him stand at that part of the stage after first IML chorus.. I hope nothing bad happens.

kleman 03-18-2018 12:12 PM

well BOF was amazing

WhamATC 03-18-2018 12:22 PM

Much much better than Sao Paulo 2017 .

kleman 03-18-2018 12:24 PM

Amen to that JON :)

I honestly think Jon has flipped some kind of a switch in his mind and is finally ready to become the performer he used to be again. He just seems so confident again: he moves on stage, screams (!!!!!), walks in the crowd and interacts with his fans like in the good old days.

The SA leg obviously gave him a giant boost of confidence and now that the band is getting inducted to the HOF, Jon has clearly gone completely nuts again (in a good way). I mean, I haven't seen him like this in ages!

I honestly wonder what walleris will think about that Bed of Roses.

manarosi 03-18-2018 12:30 PM

This was definitely a concert i would have paid to attend, even if i was a casual. Good thing is that he improved a lot the endurance (helped a bit by the setlist maybe) of his voice and his stage presence too

I actually agree!

I don't know how I should feel right now, but... but... but...

F*ck the vocals - the energy and passion are back.

I don't know about all of you, but this is the band I love.

Here's KTF from last night with Jon being on absolute fire:

WhamATC 03-18-2018 12:36 PM

I really like this too BJfan99 his energy, etc.

His mental stuff going away finally.

He even moved on stage during THINFS too.

I somewhat agree with this - I can deal with the vocals not being great if the performances is there, and he's definitely getting there. I'm not about to claim that it's as amazing as some are claiming though. The vocals are a little better this show, though far from where they really should be still, however the performace looks like it was a lot better! Still not as good as San Paulo though, and that should be the bar that they are aiming for. Still a long way to go but it's encouraging. I wonder if they wanted to do these shows so that he was completely warmed up by the time Hall Of Fame came along...

Holy sh*t, you're right. He did rasp on the " I want to be" part. And it sounded fuc*ing good!

JustineJovi 03-18-2018 12:59 PM

which sector Jon had an audience performance??

liljovi93 03-18-2018 01:10 PM

Thought BOR would be better after seeing the reaction. It was alright. Thought he was going to try and punch Matt at one point even though he was only trying to keep him up.

It's just good to see him a bit more relaxed. He is improving but it's still poor. Definitely a bit of rasp at the end. Only slightly but something.

I can't really hear any vocal improvement - BUT it's incredible nice to see Jon acting like a frontman again and working the stage. For me it makes it a lot more visual experience which takes away a little of the vocal struggle.

And this.

He's clearly singing with ease while moving which means he's halfway there (ha ha ha). He still sounds pretty rough but not as patchy as before and it doesn't make me cringe every single song, though to be honest it still doesn't make me want to listen to the whole song.

We'll see if he keeps this (apparent) steady improvement until the HOF, it'd break my heart if they did another iHeartRadio-level performance. Jon should give his all as it will be his last chance to shine.

Let's talk about something else then.

Jon is looking pretty buff, which is great for confidence and energy levels! I liked the vest Shanks was wearing and I'm so jealous of Phil's hair, we have the same type but his looks amazing whereas mine looks crazy and tumbleweed-y
