Glad you got Memory (and Blood on Blood) Becky :) Hope you had a great night.

IML from last night. Jon sounds decent and is moving around and working the crowd, I'm happy with this version. |
It’s 2:30 AM and I’m on the way home (not driving). The only thing I’m going to say about the show at this moment is that Jon was absolutely the happiest I have seen him in a LONG time. He was beaming and bursting with energy. It really made me happy to see him this way again.
And I got the meet Deb and she’s such a sweet gal! |
To get it a bit organised around here ;)

Has Jon completely ditched the playback on the "Living on a prayer" before the solo? If so, that's a pretty big move. |

Awww thanks Becky! It was so good to finally meet you after all these years! I really enjoyed the show. I had good friends surrounding me and we sang and danced so that trumps any imperfections regarding vocals or set list! Loved hearing Blood and Memory. John Shanks seemed unusually energetic! Phil is amazing and I’m the girl that loves the addition of Everett. I have to agree with Becky in that Jon seems much more relaxed and in the moment which is great to see. I thought it was funny when Jon took Shank’s guitar from him on Sleep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I really like Everett being with the band especially how he seems to be really happy performing and being there.

I had a fantastic time and enjoyed everything. I was even HAPPY when they played WEBTF because I wanted to sit down for a few minutes. (I need to have surgery for plantar fasciitis—standing on concrete for 2 1/2 hours is brutal.) I had a great view of the stage. I enjoyed the set list. I even enjoyed Amen, which is a song I never cared much for. They played until 10:54 and I swear Jon loked like he wanted to keep playing, but curfew is 11:00.
I talked to Obie and introduced Sandra as a NEW fan. I told him she became a fan with This House. He asked where had she been. She looked like she didn’t know what to say, so I said, “She’s been teaching, raising kids, stuff like that.” He said that would suck the life right out of you and we agreed. He asked who else had she seen in concert and she said no one. He said the Beatles were the greatest band ever and I told him he was being sacrilegious because Bon Jovi is the greatest band ever. Fun moment. On the way out, I heard two older guys talking. One said, “This has to be at the top.” The other said they were “even better than Simon & Garfunkel because they played much longer.” Other people were commenting on how long the show was. I didn’t hear any complaints except about the merchandise prices. Security was good, the crowd was good. One drunk woman fell flat on her face by the aisle in front of me during Make a Memory. Other people helped her. I was annoyed she went splat during a song I really wanted to hear. I just don’t understand why people go to concerts and get drunk. I wondered if most of the audience had been like me, a teenager or maybe in their 20’s at their first Bon Jovi show. Most people were sitting while the band played the extended solos while Jon left the stage. I wanted ask them all, “Do you have no soul? This sounds incredible!!!” I’d go to every show if I could. Alas, I work for the school system in Mississippi so I’m po’. |
How would you compare the show in New Orleans 2018 to the other shows of Bon Jovi you have went to (Before 2013).
