I also had enough of Jon Shanks producing songs affiliated with Jon. It's not great, not bad either but it's not even good. I just want to see Jon experiment again like he did on TD.

He made one 2 years ago and re-released it recently with 2 more new songs.

Possibly but not until BJ finish.

I'd much rather a JBJ solo album than another band record to be honest. I think we would get more interesting songs from a solo effort, and Jon wouldn't be so bothered about writing song that will get played on the radio...

I would guess only if he did another soundtrack or something while the band took a break.

I'm not sure Jon cares that much about radio anymore, as long as it charts and draws some attention. And that's gonna happen anyway, by hook or by crook. But I agree with the rest of what you said. A solo effort would probably be more interesting; and he's great in storyteller mode. If he could put together a band with the keyboard player and backup singers that were with him earlier this month at the Tarrytown show I would definitely pay to see that. Especially if they would do small, intimate venues, at reasonable (not Runaway) prices. Those guys were freakin' amazing! And Jon sounded better and seemed to enjoy himself more, in that show, than he has in years!!

@Walleris: HA! Your post wins the thread, no matter what else is posted!!

But that's more than true. If his the only songwriter from the Jovi camp (which is the case with THINFS), its most certainly Jon's solo album.

WE NEED SAMBORA.
