I'd say the only thing that's misleading are those who've been to the show, say he sounded good and get then proven wrong by actual footage of the show which clearly shows he's flat, out of key, out of sync, out of breath and out of touch with what a vocalist is supposed to sound like. I'd say it's misleading to have people come up with silly excuses as to saying "he was just cramming out songs" so that's why he's gripping the mike when he'd never done this before. I'd say that's a lot more misleading than a video of a guy who grips the mike like no other and subsequently still sounds rubbish.

Anyone with a bit of a musical ear and knowledge as to what in and off key is is supposed to realize this is garbage, and every single youTube video is proof of that. For every note he hits there's 2 he skips. Saying it's good for 2017 standards means nothing, it's not like 2017 had a standard anyway. If there's so much improvement and if he's really on the right track why does he get run over every single song on every single show? You can't improve and stand still at the same time.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I agree with this. Although like I said kudos to him for trying. I’m also waiting for him to drop Bad Medicine as he sounds atrocious on that one. I saw him sing that in London 2 years back and it was laughable.

Me too, listening to Jon's vocals.

Jon wasn't really flat at all on the first verse of TD but yes he still avoided or missed some notes.
Didn't measure the other verses and chorus though.
I think TD is one of those songs that has been downtuned a full step since the beginning (1995) and not 1 half step.

Wrong half a step as well. They lowered the backing vocals though.

I snort laughed at this

How does it even make sense?

Jon is a professional singer with 30+ years of experience. Making excuses for him is both pathetic and kind of amusing at this point

Exactly it doesn’t make sense at all. I feel sorry for him as he put a lot of energy in the shows again, but the voice isn’t there anymore.

I'm going to cry too.

TD was bad, very bad. I'm actually thankful they play it so infrequently, hearing the atrocious vocals and the butchering of the solo breaks my heart. My fvcking favorite song ruined *goes to cry in a corner*

I used to think that I'll only go see BJ live if Jon and Richie reunited, I'd even pay whatever outrageous price they asked, but they are done, both of them, together and separate. I want to keep my good memories intact.
