I thought Richie's backing vocals on When We Were Us were fantastic. Something that song needs. I wish JBJ could sing it live but he can't unfortunately.

Yup, as I 've always said, Richie's vocals are missed more than his guitar playing. Him harmonising with Jon is just such a huge part of the Bon Jovi sound. It just isn't my Bon Jovi without that! This performance really highlighted that, if they had done Wanted it would have highlighted it so much more...

Richie's already stated in the WWWB book that he's half deaf and the one with the worst hearing in the band (I think he also doesn't use IEMs anymore). That was ten years ago, so nothing new to worry about :D

Richie just can't count because he's so drunk.
:cool::cool:

On another note, I think that when the HBO pro-shot version comes out we'll finally have the proper music video for WWWU we've been waiting for...
:):)

Usually these HOF broadcast are edited to fit in the time limit. No way WWWU survives that cut, they're probably pissed enough that Jon did a new song :D

I do wonder if there's a possibility of Richie flitting in and out of Bon Jovi tours or albums going forward, whilst still having the rso outlet. Other bands have members come and go on different tours so it's not beyond the realms but it's all down to jbj on that one.

Was great to see them all together in the clip's I've seen, the first step to them getting back together is the hardest and that's been made now so we'll see going forward if there's any more performing together.

I had actually thought about this too and think it could very well be possible, at least from the album/tour cycle after next year. Jon's now stated more than once that they cut down immensely on the size of the tours and if they just do one month early in the year at home and then maybe three weeks somewhere overseas in the fall, that'll leave Richie plenty of time for everything else.

Probably half of Howard's speech gets cut either way :D

What a moment, to be a fan!

Jon, sounded OK. Did he embarass himself? Well this is 2018, and not the 80's and 90's. Yes, if he was inducted then, we will be congratulating him on the performance, age has caught up with all, Jon maybe the most.

Nice to see Alec, who is using a walking stick, if you look at the interview afterwards, and Ritchie.

Yes, John Shanks, Everett Bradley, and Phil X somewhat ruined the performance, by just being on stage, but again even if we had Alec, and Richie just on stage can't mask Jon's vocals.

I think it's time to Bon Jovi to quit. I applaud him Jon for trying on his vocals, but it's beyond repair. Some fans, continue to wait for something that isn't going to happen.

We know Bon Jovi is making a new album for 2019, a mini tour pehaps. Then after a 1/2 yr break should be the final album with Richie, and Alec if possible.

Bon Jovi's Albums till they retire, the sound isn't going to change as Jon can't him a high note anymore, hence what we had since These Days: Crush, Bounce, HAND, TC, WAN and THINFS style albums.

Yes, there are a couple good songs on the albums, but the "rock" sound isn't coming back due to Jon's voice.

But, as long as fans are seeing them, and buying the albums, Jon seems determined to continue, despite his vocal problems....

I can see Richie coming back.
I’m with Seb in that if this current version works that great but it’s an awful representation of a once great, no, phenomenal band.

Thing is Richie didn’t want to do big tours and they ain’t doing big tours anymore. 20 shows, few months off, then a bunch more shows.

Richie can talk about RSO all he likes - no one cares. It’s crap music that about 3 people on here are interested in. Everyone just wants him back in the band writing some more great music.

THISFS is utter garbage and JBJ needs Richie’s ideas and influence imo
