This. Right here. The WAN album and tour should have never happened. Richie would've had more time to tour Aftermath, and spend time with his daughter (if his excuse had any merit), and may well still be in the band today. WAN as an album is mediocre at best, even compared to The Circle, although I'm With You and the two bonus tracks are individually great songs imo.

Oh, the setlists suck this year :( I don't know why he has to play Amen or Because We Can when nobody knows the songs when he could be promoting the last albums - the tour's called This House Is Not For Sale, isn't it? He was introducing Roller Coaster so proudly last year and he doesn't play it now. He spoke of it as a new hit, I guess it has the same chance as BWC of people knowing it. Instead of Amen, there could be Scars On This Guitar, much better ballad and again, current. Well actually I dug the I Will Drive You Home version he did on a a solo gig. Knockout is a catchy uptempo song which fits the beginning of the show, We Don't Run as well is a song that should be played more. I get that he has to play post 2000 songs because they're easier to sing, so why not the ones from the albums he's promoting and so proud of? WWWU is also strange - he steals the spot of so many other possible songs at HOF but he stops playing it during regular shows? Or at least the show prior to and after the HOF performance. I just sometime don't get what he's thinking. So many crap unknown songs in the setlist.

At this point, Jon needs to understand who's coming to his shows.

About half of his setlist should be 80's songs. Those are the songs that people will recognize more. And when people can recognize and sing along to the song, they won't notice the vocal issues.

Why play drivel like Because We Can, Amen, and Whole Lot of Leavin', when songs like I'll Be There For You, Never Say Goodbye, Raise Your Hands, or even Always are left off the setlist?

They have been doing this lately

I'd Die For You as an audible! Hoping to hear it again before the end of the leg! Also Superman

I'm not blasting Jon in any way, the man's voice is shot and that's that. Kudos to him for trying to to carry on but in all honesty, I'd much rather have them STOP after this US leg. Even if they don't announce, officially, that they're splitting up, in reality that's what they should do, at least live.

Let them record their mediocre albums, nobody's obliged to buy them or listen to them. We all have streaming services nowadays, you listen to it once, dislike it, don't buy it. I haven't bought a BJ album since Bounce (which I don't like) and there hasn't been one that made me change my mind - not saying that there aren't good individual songs on the following albums. I simply chose not to buy what I don't dig. I still went to see them live in 2008 and 2011 and I wish they'd stop after Lisbon and, perhaps, come back in 2016/17. Maybe none of the Richie bullshit would have happened, may it would, who knows.

This band deserves the HOF induction, it deserves recognition and praise from non-fans to hardcore fans. But it's clearly a time to let it rest and gracefully let it die. Anything but THIS. Just my 2 cents.

Agree 100%

The WAN album and tour killed this band. Its not been the same since. It wasnt great during the The Circle either but every band is allowed 1 duff album but TC and WAN have finished this band. THINFS is every bit as bad as TC and WAN - if not worse...nope, nothings worse that TC....maybe WAN... :-D

Without doubt if WAN doesn't happen Richie is still here.
