Clearly didn't expect Miracle on that list. (I did expect Real Life tough.) A pity These Days and didn't reach top 30 (31st) but for the rest it's okay for me they are not top 30. |

This is most likely your source: https://hitparade.ch/song/Bon-Jovi/L...-A-Prayer-1551 According to your source, Livin' On A Prayer only charted for 12 weeks and yet It's My Life charted 33 weeks. Sure, It's My Life was massive, but there's another reason for this. Over time, charts change. When Livin' On A Prayer charted, the chart consisted of 30 spots. When Dry County charted this was turned to 50 spots. By the time It's My Life charted this was turned to 100. Now let's say Livin' On A Prayer gets to spot number 27 by it's 12th week on the chart. This means it most likely leaves the charts in week 13. Now the same happens to It's My Life. However, in week 13 it gets another week on the chart as there's more positions to fill. Further on, where are You Give Love A Bad Name & Wanted Dead Or Alive? The songs did chart, but for whatever reason aren't part of the database. To get an accurate look you'd have to make a list of all songs and cap their chart life whenever it leaves the top 30 as it's the only data available for all songs. It's My Life now spends 20 weeks on the chart instead of 33. A song like Dry County now suddenly has 7 weeks on the chart as opposed to its original 10. We Weren't Born To Follow gets 6 instead of 12. This gives a lot of songs fewer points and would make for a very different list. That said though, a song like Who Says You Can't Go Home would still end up very low on the list as it never cracked the top 30, which really showcases how out of place the song is in European setlists. It's like playing Because We Can in the U.S.A. The song never charted, surely they wouldn't try to shove that one in people's throat either? Oh wait... :p Have fun. :p Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

Don't know what happened to Bad Name tough... |
Annoyingly WSYCGH made #5 here thanks to their misleading advertisments on the tour that you'd get the live version from your show if you bought the single via SMS. So that's the UK damned with the allrights for eternity because of this.

Updated my first entry with an accurate Top 30 list.
WSYCGH didn't make it, which may be pleasing some... ;-) |

I've always had an interest in music charts. I have a book which has all songs and artist which entered the Australian charts from 1970 to 1992.
Sadly, the band has never had a #1 song in Australia, despite having ten (yes, ten) #1 albums here. Though Blaze of Glory did hit the top spot, so I guess that counts? Songs tied for peak positions are sorted by weeks on chart. AUSTRALIA 01. Blaze of Glory (1) 02. Always (2) 03. Livin' on a Prayer (3) 04. Bad Medicine (4) 05. This Ain't a Love Song (4) 06. It's My Life (5) 07. Everyday (5) =8. Have a Nice Day (8) =8. Miracle (8) 10. Say It Isn't So (9) 11. Bed of Roses (10) 12. In These Arms (10) 13. Keep the Faith (10) 14. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (10) 15. Wanted Dead or Alive (13) 16. Something for the Pain (14) 17. Midnight In Chelsea (17) 18. Lie to Me (20) 19. I'll Be There For You (23) 20. Lay Your Hands On Me (23) 21. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (24) 22. You Give Love a Bad Name (25) 23. Ballad of Youth (25) 24. Never Say Goodbye (26) 25. Born to Be My Baby (30) 26. Dry County (31) 27. All About Lovin' You (31) 28. Misunderstood (33) 29. Thank You For Loving Me (34) 30. One Wild Night (35) 31. These Days (38) 32. Queen Of New Orleans (40) 33. I Believe (40) 34. Real Life (52) 35. Because We Can (56) 36. We Weren't Born to Follow (62) 37. Living In Sin (64) 38. Never Say Die (73) 39. This House is Not For Sale (81) Nothing from Lost Highway (the only album not to chart a song in the top 100, apart from the first two albums) and no Who Says. |
Thanks Savvi!
As I got into BJ in 1994 I've never considered that Miracle had some success in the charts. I mean, no-one ever speaks about that song. It's mysterious. |

Same uk. Always was closest (charted at 4 I think) but was kept off by wet wet wets love is all around for 8 weeks. In that time the song bounced between 4,3 & 2 and just when it looked like it might go no 1 - Whigfield released Saturday night and always missed out again then went down the charts. |
