I'm starting to think there may actually be a chance of Hey God making an appearance in one of the Canadian shows...

Did he say something like they haven’t played Dry County in 5 years?

Come onnnnnnn, they play Dry County right AFTER the Milwaukee show?? I've wanted to hear it live since my first Jovi concert in 2003. :(
|
I’d love to see them keep in these arms and Saturday night in those spots. Best set so far, I hope he pulls out all the stops in philly... at this point who knows what he’ll do

Holy motherf*cking shit...
Is Jon high or something? There goes my "standard setlist" prediction! :D Dry f*cking County, In These Arms and Saturday Night, f*ck man... this actually reminds me of the Kansas City show in 2008 (in terms of rarities, while not completely out of the blue like Hey God or One Wild Night, getting played)! Also, that DC was perfectly decent for Jon's post-2011 standards. He's actually hitting the high notes again after struggling with them basically every time they've played it since April '13 (and yes, Walleris - I do acknowledge it's a 120% performance...). Phil's solo sounded great as well. All in all, if f*cking Allentown gets a set like this, what the hell are the guys going to play in Toronto, NYC and Montreal? Always, These Days, Blaze, Hey God? My personal request would be This Ain't A Love Song, but Jon probably thinks it's not worth performing in NA... |
So, what did they play after DC? Just Wanted and Prayer, or were there any other audibles performed?

I have no ideia of what goes on in Jon's head. These notes are completely out of reach for him, and he sounds horrible when attempting to hit them. Furthermore, 99% of the audience in the US has no clue about what song this is. So why not play something that would suit his (lack of) voice better ? Something like Wild is The Wind or Bounce would go down the same way Dry County does with the casual fans and it would not highlight how shot his voice is. I get why he still attempts Always every now and then, it's one of their biggest hits. But with Dry County, it seems that he wants to prove something, but all he's doing is highlighting his vocal issues. |
