why, o, why Johnny ?
The verses weren't unbearable but the choruses... geez. At this point, I think Jon is trying to prove himself he's still got it. Sure Jon, you're not a walking corpse or anything but damn, CHANGE THE KEY IF YOU WANNA DO THESE SONGS LIVE - seriously, no shame in admitting your vocal range isn't the same. it's better than sounding like Herb the perv from Family Guy. |

However, this TD performance was really hard to watch. |

I genuinely feel sorry for those fans who never saw them live at their peak.
The effort is there, but for every baby step forward, there’s several bigger steps back. Surely it’s time for Jon to think long and hard about whether to continue or not? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

So you're not going to hear me diss any part of last night's show. |

I absolutely agree that it probably was a great concert and Jon is trying much harder to be a proper frontman than he did from 2015-17. When I was Cologne, I though that he had sounded fantastic, only to realize on the bootleg that it was rather average. It's great to hear that you can still enjoy it a lot when you're there (Thierry said the same), but all we have here are the videos and, well, it didn't sound good on there. But at least he finally gave you some changes, unlike at the NMS shows in 2013 where it was basically the same on both nights. |

I’m glad it was a great show for those of you that were there. Jon really has worked the stage a lot more than last year and last tour. It’s great to see him moving around, regardless of his vocals.

I would have zero complaints with this setlist.
Shame I will never get such a strong set at my shows. Rollercoaster, When We Were Us, In These Arms and These Days. Quote:

I'm just glad he's making an effort at switching up the shows a bit, even if it's just moving songs around. Last year was awful with those static setlists.

And here is a story from today. I was at my local farm buying veggies (despite what people think Northern Jersey has many working farms that are awesome). As I was checking out, a cashier about 21 years old came up to me and asked me if I was at the show last night. She saw my tattoo :D She was there too and she loved the show. So the almost 70 year old and the 21 year old both thought the show was great. There is always a little voice in the back of my mind that says - this might be the last one. Pay attention and enjoy it. So I did :D |

Oh come on...These Days wasn't nearly half as bad as I thought it would be based on all the comments...
He's singing in his 'now' voice.. The verses are fine... And struggling with the higher notes which is to be expected... Overall not the worst I've heard... Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk |

Exactly how I feel Kathleen. This is how I approached my Milwaukee show. I do believe there will eventually be one more big tour when Richie comes to his senses, but that is 5+ years away. Enjoy what we have while we can. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
